Been coming here for 20 plus years and honestly the vibe is the same . Is your old school diner and it feels like a staple of the neighborhood. The staff has changed through out the years but the food is still great specially when you twisted at 3 am and there is nothing open . Pete’s grill a staple of sunnyside queens .
This is hands down the best diner in the Sunnyside area! We’ve tried others, and Pete blows them out the water!.
If you haven’t been, I recommend trying them.

Classic Diner place and service was on point. The only place in the area that does whole wheat pancakes too.
I wish they’d have more options for the combo breakfast meals. Also, more options on the pancakes would make me come back more, for example Buckwheat on the menu would be amazing!
Good place for a decent meal. Taste and quality is to my liking. Place is a classic but well kept and maintained. My waitress was friendly.
The food here is not even bland–it has no flavor at all. The iced coffee had as much coffee flavor as tap water, and the home fries tasted like they were made from cardboard. Even multiple pinches of table salt couldn’t bring my Meat Lovers Omelette to life. I woke up early for this and it was not worth it. Visions of my girlfriend’s black beans mixed with undercooked egg whites flooding her plate still made me gag minutes after we left the restaurant.
As you can see, I ate a good amount from my plate! But make no mistake–I had a 7-hour shift to follow this so I obviously had to eat.
However, the service was great. Enrique was the best and made the experience superb from start to finish while taking care of five or more other tables at the same time.
