We had never been here or to another one of these (I guess it’s a chain) but we will definitely be back. Simple menu – chicken sandwiches and fries and then you choose your “heat”. I wanted to gauge it, so I just started off with the hot one. I like hot food, but it was pretty spicy. Spicy. It builds on you. Halfway through the first sandwich I started to feel it, and then it really got to me by the second sandwich. I don’t think I would go up to their highest level. I might try one down from that with one sandwich maybe. Overall, awesome place. Staff was friendly and everything was clean.
Finally got to try this place and was happy I did. I got the tender and slider combo. The tender, the slider and fries were all delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The people at the counter were super friendly and the space was clean.
I got the medium tenders and they were just as tasty as I hoped with just a tiny bit of kick. This is a great not so fast food restaurant!
Seriously so so so good. Went in for the first time today and was so impressed with the food! Place was super clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back!!
Amsterdam Dave’s Hot Chicken Review Sunday June 30, 2024
I’d never heard of DHC before. Frankly I thought it was a cosmetic thing my wife gets in the mail. The guy at the counter was really nice and though the prices were a bit steep I chickened out and got the normal slider and fries with nothing too spicy. I love spicy but I didn’t want to freak my family out. The decor was super cool and colorful and busy. The sauce was amazing and the kale slaw was phenomenal. My wife and I were very tempted to get another one which was much spicier. We would go for the very hot next time. But we didn’t. Next time. We plan on passing through Amsterdam again on Saturday. We look forward to more Dave’s Hot Chicken! Our little one has an egg allergy and peanut allergy. He got the tenders and it was great. It came with a slice of toast, probably the most expensive slice of toast ever. But to make sure he was taken care of we got the OREO shake too which was really really good. A nice sweet contrast to the sandwich. In about 2 weeks I might be coming through again with a bunch of HUNGRY boys and Dave’s Hot Chicken better watch out! They will be hungry! Now I know about Dave’s Hot Chicken and now I’m going to be your number 1 advertiser. Why or how I had never heard of you is BEYOND me! Thanks for expanding to Amsterdam! I’m ready to sweat!
