5 Reviews on “bb.q Chicken Albany”
I love Korean fried chicken, so this spot was an easy choice during our trip to Albany.
My husband and I shared:
– Maple Crunch Boneless Wings
– Mala Hot Wings
– Rose Ddeok-Bokki
The wings were fried perfectly. I recommend going with the traditional wings over the boneless wings, but that’s just my personal preference.
The maple crunch wasn’t quite as saucy as I prefer, but it was still good. The mala hot was very spicy, but very good. I probably wouldn’t get the Ddeok-Bokki again. It was ok, but I’ve had better versions of this dish elsewhere.
If you’ve never had Korean Fried Chicken, you should definitely try it! You’ll never want another kind of wing again.
I ordered a golden whole chicken and rice cakes. This was my first visit. I’ve heard so much about the great chicken. I was not disappointed. Korean-style fried chicken isn’t greasy and it doesn’t include the same rubbery skin as American fried chicken. It’s so much better! The rice cakes were spicy and the fish cakes were definitely a bit fishy. They weren’t bad but the order was too big to finish. The staff was running behind on my order. For some reason, a lot of lunch orders came in at about 2pm. I think I waited about 10 minutes, but the staff was very nice and friendly. The food was well worth the wait. The restaurant is small but clean and cute. I can’t wait to try some of the spicy chicken dishes.
This is literally MY FAVORITE chicken spot right now in Albany, nothing beats the flavor or the price. The signature rice bowls are my favorite thing to order since they added them, I could eat them all day long. The chicken itself is always juicy and crunchy and the flavors are great. My interaction with the staff has always been pleasant. I order take out delivery and I’ve dined in once. The dine in experience is great is a nice little mix culture setting I love it. IF you want to try some of the best fried chicken this is your spot.
By far the best food and service on central ave! Staff is friendly management super friendly and inviting. I placed an order online for a later pick up . Shawn made sure my food was hot and ready for pick up. Chicken was crispy well flavored rice bowls were amazing . Will surly come back . Jabril the supervisor was really nice. Overall 10/10 experience!
Read before ordering.
To keep it brief, I ordered the mix piece chicken and was very surprised at what I got. Most of the pieces were breaded bones with no meat. And others were mostly breading or extremely small. I did have two legs and two wings that were normal. I tried to reach out to rectify it via email but they stopped responding. I’ve been to the location in New york city and the two in jersey. I know what the standard/ norm is and for them to give me breaded bones wasnt the insult the insult was them telling me i was lying. The guy who took the order was friendly, thus the one star.
