The food looked delicious and we were eager to enjoy a nice meal however, we did not. Food was bland and lacked any real good flavor. Lots of grizzle in the chicken. I hate giving bad reviews, but we won’t return.
Redeeming factors: cheap and the wontons were crispy.

I go to UAlbany and this is the only takeout place I get almost every weekend. The prices CANNOT beat the quality of the food!! The chicken wings are just so😍😍 the great proportion of lo mein, and the bento boxes omg!! It’s just endless deliciousness. The owners are rly nice I know because once my boyfriend and I went to the actual restaurant and spent like $40 and only finished less than half our food, the rest we took home for leftovers and they’re always so bomb fr. As broke college students, this is my tip: NEVER EVER get takeouts through DoorDash. The deliveries take FOREVER and they always do something wrong stg. The prices through DoorDash is also outrageous. Always always have them deliver!! The delivery guy is so nice so always tip!!!! Anyways I just had the bento box with my bf and the miso soup is💯💯💯💯 I will forever stay loyal to Shun’s Kitchen❤️‼️‼️
Crab ragoon was great and crispy. Chicken and broccoli was good. Gyoza was flavorful but steamed and the egg roll was just okay but small and greasy. Boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice was awful. Meat was tiny left over pieces and a very small portion. Rice was overcooked and the “pork” was tiny gooey hams pieces (so gross).
Wanted to love it but will not return
Just called to make a order a hr n a half before they close, they took our order but never delivered it. Wife kept calling after to see how how far they were with our food and the lady ignored our call. So I called my on My phone, got an answer and soon as I gave my address the lady hung up on me. Did not answer me or my wife after. Extremely bad customer service and a few of my pplz that have eaten there also had an issue with the customer service there. Food is not completely bad but DEFINITELY NOT Good enough to be treated like that. I ain’t NEVER spending MY hard earned money at such an unprofessional place like that. Bad customer service, food is Border line OK.. Just couldn’t find anything else that was open by that time.
Over 5 years ago, this place was my go-to for late night Chinese food while I lived in Albany. Tonight, I asked my husband to order Chinese food from Shun’s as it used to be my favorite and I was having a craving. I thought it was weird when a man answered the phone that I didn’t recognize, and figured there must be new owners- which makes sense as I haven’t ordered from here in a long time. The chicken was okay, the egg rolls were subpar, but… The fried rice… was rice with cut up pieces of hot dog. I am in absolute disbelief. It didn’t used to be this way. New management should be ashamed I am disgusted. Waste of money. Will definitely NEVER be eating from Shun’s again. 🤢 I hope the chicken we ate doesn’t make us sick!
