Lovely place, excellent service. The server was the only one there, with 6 tables and she handled them and the carry out expertly. I hope she will have assistance in the future!
The parking is rough, and it’s no fault of the restaurant. Just be careful how and where you park.
All of its worth it. The food was divine. The pumpkin soup was sweet and hearty. The salad acidic and crunchy.
My nephew wanted to try the Korean Fried Chicken (perfection, meaty and perfectly sauced) along with the mandu (not kimchi) and he loved both. He couldn’t stop eating them. He loved the seaweed sauced jelly square, I liked it but he loved it.
I loved the potato salad, and kimchi. Fabulous.
My nephew got the Dolsot (served in a stone bowl, instead of a plastic bowl) Bibimbap, which he couldn’t stop eating. I did not get the Dolsot, but I recommend that you do! It’s worth it for the crispy bottom of rice. Which, by the way, is FORBIDDEN rice! Gloriously purple, high in vitamins, and an absolute joy.
I will be back! 🙂
I adored the spicy pork, which I had never had before; it reminded me of savory and spicy Mala of Cantonese & Burmese origin. Perfectly paired with Bak Se Ju, which is Korean rice wine. Kinda pricey but very worth it!
Update (3/21/24): Had another delicious meal at Korpot. This time it was the classic bibimbap and was so attractive in its presentation. The Korean fried chicken is always a winner too.
I’m a huge fan of the YouTube channel “Korean Englishman” so I wanted to try some of the dishes referenced in their videos. Korpot had several of the snacks/appetizers I wanted to try like kimchi dumplings and Korean fried chicken. Everything was so good and flavorful and yes a bit spicy. My partner had their seafood ramyun (ramen) and the broth was delicious. I wish they had Korean bbq with tables with grills in them but otherwise everything looked and tasted good. Look forward to returning. One thing to know is that you need to order at the register then they bring your food to the table.
Best Korean restaurant in town. The BBQ beef short-rib is very decent.
Place is in a small parking, and looked closed from outside. But inside is bigger, and nice. Waiter was welcoming, fast and helped us picking up our dishes. They offered Korean salad and pumpkin soup, it was delicious. Food was good, bibimbap one regular one fried (still frying on a dish) tons of veggies. Appetizer fried dumplings was spicy. We had fun, couldn’t finish our dishes, portions are big.
