I came to this restaurant because I saw several posts about their Peruvian/Venezuelan food and I think it’s a plus (two of my favorite foods). To start we ordered an order of pastelitos : cheese with plantain and chicken (the chicken was well seasoned). For the second we ordered a chicken milanesa, it was accompanied by rice, plantain and black beans. Seriously, the proportion of the dish was 10/10 and the flavor was excellent.
The second was a Patacon (patacon is a toston but much larger) of shredded meat, with plantain, salad, and its salts. I recommend trying the hot sauce, it has a very good flavor and is spicy but it doesn’t take away from my food.
The drinks were fabulous too 10/10. I found the prices reasonable. The attention was excellent 10/10. The atmosphere, music, and place 10/10
Great Colombian/ Peruvian food that was cooked very well. Food tasted fresh and felt like it was made with care. Really nice staff and service too! I had thought the food looked heavy and rich but it sat really well.
Run don’t walk here: this is some of the best South American food I’ve had in the neighborhood!
The food is some of the best Peruvian food I’ve had: very generous portions, really good prices, a huge diversity of food on your plate, and everything is delicious! I got a platter of various meats, with plantains, rice, black beans and avocado. The meats were marinated, tender, well-seasoned and just so, so good. The maduros (plantains) were juicy and more succulent than some of the meat; the black beans were soft and flavorful. Even the rice was great: not too starchy or sticky. If anything, the worst thing on the plate was the avocados because they weren’t seasoned and couldn’t compete with all the good food!
I also had a happy hour margarita which was also very good, not like the slushies that you might find at other places.
The service was polite and quick: I felt like really taken care of, and my waitress came back several times to make sure I had enough water and napkins, and wasn’t left hungry.
I will definitely be coming back here again: the food really is worth traveling for.
Thank you Tozton, Natalie, and the rest of the staff for a wonderful experience! The service was spectacular and the food was to die for. They went above and beyond for us, being that we went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. They set the atmosphere for us and we are very grateful. Not to mention that the food was excellent and exceeded our expectations! From the empanadas, to the causa encevichado! All top-notch!!! Thanks again guys, we will be back.
The food was absolutely spectacular. The pastelitos were perfectly crispy and filled with juicy tender meat. The pabellón was phenomenal.
