5 Reviews on “Maizal Mexican Kitchen and Mezcaleria”
The most obvious word that comes to mind after a visit here: “festive”, whether as a date night (saw a lot of those!), to families and large parties, to birthday celebrators (wearing Sombreros, naturally), to groups of friends…everyone having fun.
The environment helps, with tons of hanging plants, artistic lighting, and lively surroundings. So do flowing drinks including a large margarita menu plus a neat mule with tequila, which I enjoyed. Food was great, and with many options not seen at typical Mexican places, you can try something you haven’t had before (birria rolls, anyone?). I had the new flavorful mole Verde over Mahi, which is a nice addition to the menu.
Service was excellent with speed and good recommendations. Prices aren’t awful and we end up enjoying the night.
This was such an amazing meal! So many flavors! Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was fun and bright like the decor. We enjoyed everything we ordered! Everything is made to order, fresh and so flavorful!
We had a great time. Everything was delicious, the 3 types of mole are all very good.
Well,
I’ve dined at many Mexican restaurants. A lot of them in WNY. I’ve eaten in some really good Mexican restaurants in Texas. I can tell you that Maizal is totally authentic homemade fare as you would only get in Mexico. They have a menu that is unique to them. The food is so good it makes you want more and more. Don’t pass this one up. It’s the real deal.
A hidden gem in a strip mall-like setting. The layout, design and decor are really outstanding. You feel like you’re in a free-standing restaurant. The collections of tequila and especially mescals are truly impressive. The drinks were excellent, as was the food – not the best I’ve ever had, but very good. And eclectic, for example there were 3 different styles of mole. There is a room upstairs for special events. The only real drawback is the 8:00 and 9:00 closing times.
