5 Reviews on “Fresco’s Grand Cantina”
I had a great experience here for Happy Hour. I was working in Astoria and hadn’t had any lunch by 5PM, so I was looking for somewhere where I could eat at the bar, and get some good food, quickly. Once again, Google Reviews steered me in the right direction, and led me to Fresco’s Grand Cantina. Honestly, the logo and signage give a different impression from the outside, of what the place is actually like on the inside. It’s got a great vibe and ambience, like the perfect balance between casual/fun and classy. I think it would be a good spot for a first date. I sat at the bar and was taken care of by the owner, Adrian. He was very friendly and served me some great happy hour margaritas for $8 bucks a pop, and I ordered some killer fish tacos. I’ve had many fish tacos in many different places around the world, and these rank very high among of them. The breading was the perfect light texture. The fish came out at the perfect temperature, and the fillet itself was super flaky and moist. The cabbage slaw on top added an additional crunch. The homemade salsas on the side also added more authentic Mexican flavor. I am going back to eat them again, the next time I am in Astoria. They also have a huge back room with a glass ceiling, which also has a nice vibe, and would probably be a good spot to have bring a big group of friends. So, if you’re reading this, just GO! You will not be disappointed.
Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with a few friends. It was SO good! The frozen margaritas were AMAZING and the food was really good as well.
They had an all day happy hour so the margs were only $8 and some food options were $10/each. Place is very nice and spacious, there’s a patio area which is covered with A/C which is really nice. And the service was also really great. I would definitely be coming back to this place.
I fell in love with this place on my first visit. The Taco Tuesday and happy hour were great. The food was so good, it wasnt photographed before it was devoured. The atmosphere is fun and electric.
They also have an amazing separate entertainment space with great rates. This place is my new favorite watering hole. Right across the bridge into Astoria, perfect location!!!
We went for brunch on a Sunday and had a ball since there is a drag-show as well and it was awesome. Food was really nice, mixing Mexican cuisine with typical brunch plates. Drinks are huge and yummy. The place is tastefully decorated and service is friendly and professional. The place has different monitors so you can see the drag show, also both drags were interactive with the public. Dont forget your 1$bills to tip them. A place to recommend if you happen to be in NYC, dont forget to make a reservation. Wheelchair access is limited.
Why have I not come here sooner! This place is amazing from the moment u open the door you’re transferred too another world, A rainbow 🌈 world 🌎 filled with smiles and pure excitement from the moment I walked in I felt so comfortable from the music, the ambiance, the decor, just everything is immaculate and fabulous 👌. The food not only looks good but taste even better it’s like eating art off a plate. My waitress was yassenia she was so nice and amazing with her recommendations 💕 so if your in the Astoria area make sure u drop in and experience paradise in queens.
