Started off a bit rocky, hostess did not want to sit us on the balcony facing the water – place was nearly empty. Had server Audrey who was a pleasure and Amazing. Constantly checking in and offering water for our dog (small dog able to sit with us). Gave recommendations and able to accommodate. Fried chicken sandwich, spicy taco, fries clams and fried califlower was delicious. A bit pricy however worth the taste and portions. Would come back!
No wait mid June on Friday
I recently visited The Light House Restaurant in Lake George, NY, and had an incredible experience! The location is unbeatable, right in front of the lake, offering stunning views that add a special touch to the dining experience.
The cocktails were fantastic, crafted to perfection with a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a memorable evening. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lake George!
I just arrived in town today and couldn’t have had a nicer welcome than to enjoy a light meal and drink on the porch at The Lighthouse.
I had the clam chowder, while my boyfriend enjoyed the turkey bacon wrap. He added pepper jack to it and really loved it, along with the crunchy fries. My clam chowder hit the spot, though I do wish it had a bit more clam in it.
Service was excellent, with the lovely Audrey welcoming us and making sure our needs were met throughout the meal.
The view could not be beat. If you are in town on a beautiful summer day, this is an excellent choice to relax by the water.
After we were seated, we waited more than 15 minutes and no one came to take our order. I had to get up to get someone to take our orders. The waitress apologized and said the person assigned to the area might be overwhelmed. The restaurant was overcrowded. The person who took our orders was very nice and made sure that the rest of our experience was pleasant. The home salad was fresh and delicious, chicken taco, rib eye stake and the burger were delicious. The restroom was very clean.
I recently dined at Lighthouse Grill in Lake George and had mixed feelings about the experience. The setting is undeniably beautiful, with an open-air concept inside and a stunning lake view outside, making it an ideal location for a date or a pleasant evening by the lake.
However, the food and service left much to be desired. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, which came to $23 after adding cheese. Unfortunately, the burger was just another average offering—neither exceptional in flavor nor particularly juicy. While it wasn’t bad, it certainly wasn’t worth the price. My friend had the steak tacos, which were described as hot but fell short of that description.
Both our meals came with fries that were served cold, likely because they had been waiting for some time before being brought to us. This delay in service was a recurring issue, as it took a considerable amount of time between visits from our waitress. While she was friendly, the overall service was slow, possibly due to preparations for a large party they were hosting.
In summary, while Lighthouse Grill boasts a lovely atmosphere perfect for a scenic dining experience, the food and service could use some improvement. Given the premium prices, I expected more in terms of both taste and promptness.
