My family and I enjoy going to Belly Cakes for a delicious breakfast at a quaint cafe style restaurant. We usually order a few entrees for the table to share that way everyone gets a little bit of everything.
On our most recent visit, we ordered the BEC, blueberry compote pancakes, chicken and biscuits, and mushroom toast. The BEC was topped with fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. The sautéed onions were a bit sweet for my preference but still a nice added touch of flavor. The blueberry pancakes are one of my favorite dishes from here. The dish comes with three pancakes topped with blueberry compote and served with a maple butter on the side. No complaints there. The chicken from the chicken and biscuits was nice and crispy, similar to a Chick-fil-A nugget. Gravy was a tad salty and the biscuits were a little too flowery. Mushroom toast is always a crowd pleaser with a slight touch of truffle flavor.
The only downfall about this restaurant is its ventilation. Every time you leave, your clothes and hair end up smelling like the food you just ate.
Would not recommend for large groups unless you go super early. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
I had the pancakes and scrambled eggs. I also ordered a fresh blueberry lemonade. Very good..however, the service was bad. They had one server that actually left the place..others came in to eat.. waited to be seated ..server not there.. sat themselves..server still not there. I was waiting to pay..server nowhere in sight. I waited so long,I just scanned their venmo and paid and left..when I was getting into my car.. the server was walking back to the restaurant. The others that sat eventually left..I guess they got tired of waiting for a greeting or to place their order. The food is good though. The atmosphere is really plain and it’s a small place. The DO NOT take cards.. only cash and venmo
Small place with tasty dishes. The matcha pancakes are a hit or miss depending on who’s making them. Sometimes the matcha gets a burnt flavor while other times it’s perfect and buttery. The Nutella and banana are always delicious and I love the open faced bread with eggs, prosciutto , avocado and balsamic is so delicious. I had a phase where I was ordering it every weekend.
Had a wonderful time at the Belly Cake Pancake House! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. We decided to try a variety of dishes, and none of them disappointed.
My favorite was the Original Stacks. These pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, just like a perfect pillow. The maple syrup added the right amount of buttery sweetness, making each bite an absolute delight.
Next, we had the Skinny Bella. Despite its name, this dish was rich in flavor. It featured yogurt and fresh fruit, all topped with a drizzle of honey over the original stacks of pancakes. It was a refreshing and delicious combination that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Lastly, we tried the Avocado Toast with Prosciutto. While the ingredients were fresh and the eggs were cooked beautifully, the ratios could have been better. There was a bit too much egg and not enough toast or balsamic, but the overall taste was still quite nice.
Overall, Belly Cake Pancake House offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone craving some classic American cuisine! However, the restaurant could use better ventilation as it smells oily from the griddle.
Woke up in the mood for pancakes today but wanted to try something new. I found this place on google maps & it was about 12minutes from me. Upon my arrival I found street parking not far. I was sat as soon as I walked in& ordered shortly after. Service was great& so was my food. My only concern was would be that it’s Cash or Venmo only!
