I feel so bad writing this review, but I just have to be honest. The food was HORRIBLE…..my food was soaked with what was supposed to be STEW peas gravy. Eukkkk…..I ordered stew peas with white rice, the stew peas had turkey neck and beef. Not a huge fan of turkey neck, but the “beef” made me say ok. That was not stew peas, it was more like BROWN stew peas, the rice was clumps of mush, might as well had rice pudding, but I caught that as he was sharing the rice, he was picking up clumps of rice balls…🤮🤮. But I should have known there was a problem when my Jamaican chef had a GUYANESE accent..😯🤔, and commence to tell me he was a “honorary ” Jamaican because he is married to one…😶. I feel real bad about this, because he was such a nice man, the atmosphere was wonderful. I’m sorry, but I won’t be returning, you’re better off driving up a few minutes more to 3KS restaurants..OMG YOU WON’T REGRET. Now that’s REAL Jamaican food…😉😊
Just came from this wonderful, restaurant ordered the ox tail. With white rice and vegetables. Wonderful service, clean environment. And the food is to die for! I definitely will be eating, from here again. 5 star’s all the way around.
The food from this place is INCREDIBLE. I usually order the large oxtail platter and large jerk chicken platter. Both come in very full containers. The meat is flavorful and comes off bone easily! Rice and peas is delicious and also very flavorful. There is typically a line when I go during lunch time, but the food comes out in 10-15 minutes. Jr is very friendly and I definitely feel like I’m contributing to a family business. Reasonably priced for the quality of their meat and food.
This place is completely unorganized and unprofessional.
I made a reservation for a Thanksgiving catering a paid a deposit.
I called to confirm the pickup time days before just to show up to a closed restaurant on Thanksgiving day.
When I called to rectify the situation,
The woman blamed me for not knowing they were closed on thanksgiving and mentioned she wasn’t able to call me the day before when the order was available because she lost my number.
To make it worst, their solution was to pick up the 5 day old order they froze after i pay the remaining balance or nothing at all.
Absolutely delicious!
The jerk Chicken was delectable & their Ox Tail is well prepared/seasoned as well.
Can’t wait to try more Jamaican dishes at this establishment🤗
