6 Reviews on “Fuji Restaurant”
I love Fuji sushi! I have started coming here from more than two years ago and their food has been consistently good. Our server Kay has always been very attentive. I usually get sushi but I’ve had their udon before too and it was also really good. I would strongly recommend you check out Fuji if you are craving for sushi or hibachi!
Everything was delicious. The steak was very tender. There was a sudden influx of customers, which took them by surprise. Not really anyone’s fault. It would have been helpful to have had another waiter available. That’s the only reason for not giving 5 stars for service.
The limited time Coney Island Roll is a must try! The Filet Mignon and Chicken was cooked to perfection, and the their Gyoza were crispy and paired great with their homemade dumpling sauce. Our server was very nice and we got to know the owners. This place is a must if you are in the area!
I love Fuji. I go there all the time to dine in or take out. The food is always on point and the service is good. They are so nice. And you can’t beat the price.
After spending $180 on dinner last night, I am reminded why we left before getting our food the last time we came here. Just as great as the food is, the service is as poor.
We walked in after doing a little bit, but not enough research on the hibachi places around us and decided to go to this restaurant because I remember the food being really good. I forgot, though they don’t have the traditional hibachi experience, which is my fault. When we arrived, we were taken aback because again, we forgot this place didn’t have live cooking tables ,but after discussing it, we decided that since we made the drive out there we would stay to eat. We were directed to take a seat at a specific table.
Our first interaction summed up the rest of our interactions for the night short/curt questions without any greeting or introduction and the need for constant reminders to the staff to bring things like water, napkins, and utensils between the two people that were staffed as waiters, we were sure who was taking care of us. It would be great if people don’t walk away from me midsentence and allow me to get my order out. I also wanted to order something to go and the waiter ”later later” As a restaurant of this magnitude that does to go/online orders can’t put in an order and bring me my food close to when we’re done eating. I felt like ordering food was a burden for them as opposed to making opportunity.
I also have an issue with the sushi rolls coming with different ingredients than those that are listed on the menu. Thankfully, I am not a picky eater nor do I have any allergies so I ate what was in front of me but that’s really dangerous If (as the sign on the door says) prices are not consistent with what the menu says, and the ingredients listed on the menu are inaccurate with how the food is ultimately prepared, why doesn’t a place that gets this much business and has food this good redo the menus? I also think they need to improve their drink options definitely more kid, friendly things that aren’t sodas but also perhaps a signature drink if you’re going to market yourselves as a steakhouse.
We were so displeased with the service and attitude that we rounded our bill to the nearest $10 and left the small remainder as the tip. I am pretty sure that they were aware of this because as soon as the waiter picked up the check (without saying bye, thank you for coming or acknowledging us, and after multiple request to pay the bill) there was a seemingly heightened discussion between the two after one saw how much we left for tip. Imagine our surprise when this morning when we got an alert that a higher dollar amount was charged to the card than what I wrote on the receipt.
After spending that much money on food that honestly will last us two days with the leftovers I’m so pleased with the food quality but enormously disappointed with the service and likely won’t be back, except to get my money.
