Authentic korean chinese restaurant. Their tangsuyuk is one of the best and I like their jajangmyeon, noodles have a nice chew and sauce is delish.
Food takes a while because they are busy with mostly locals.
    Waitresses are really friendly tho.

First time trying this place. I have read people’s reviews and I must rate this place myself and from my own experience. I love the food, esp the clams noodle with back bean sauce. I tried the three combinations and I love them all. It’s very nice of them to make the combo of jajangmyeon, champon and tangsuyuk so the customers get to try smaller portions before ordering one big bowl the next visit. The portion is big. Place is clean and neat. We got some side dishes and got refills too. There is a parking space at the back but limited, we had to park on the street. Will definitely coming back to try other food.

Sunday after church we gathered at Korean Noodle House with a large group of 11 to enjoy a meal together. We’ve been here on week days, evenings and often on Sundays.

When you enter through the front entrance the main dining area spans left and right with the cash register located towards the back on the right side.
To the right of the cash register is an entrance to a modest side dining area. As you enter there is a private room with newly install hanging barn doors which can be closed. What I notice today was they did some remodeling of the walls in the side dining area with paint and paneling. A nice refresh which made look new as it was previously looking aged. It is overall a low key atmosphere though. We were seated in the side room as we had a larger group and the main dining area was already 65% occupied by diners.

The walls were decorated also with TVs playing K-Pop or K-Drama in the past. Today I noticed the volume was very low or off. We took our time to chat, teh wait staff brought out hot tea, I asked for cold water for a few of us. They brought out the usual Korean side dishes; Kimchee, Yellow Radish slices, and raw Onion chips with doenjang (fermented soybean paste). It was comfortable to hold conversations as restaurants with open spaces may bounce sounds causing it to be loud making conversations difficult. The tables and chairs were sturdy, clean, and did not rock or creak. If you have a younger child with you they have highchairs.

The wait staff were courteous and attentive. If you speak Mandarin you’ll surprised that our wait staff she spoke fluently or Korean and English.

    We ordered the following dishes:

Ja Jang Myun (짜장면 / 炸酱面) or Beef Gan Ja Jang Myun (소고기간짜장 / 牛肉炸酱面) – two of use ordered this (either Noodle with black bean sauce or Noodle with black bean sauce and beef) comes covered with sauce, chopped onion pieces, and possibly small bit of ground beef. I believe it’s egg noodle and they are long so it’s advisable to cut them with the scissor that’s provided. Which ever one it was it was yummy.
Soy Garlic Fried Chicken (마늘간장치킨 / 酱油大蒜炸鸡) – the Soy garlic fried chicken is prepared with the sauce on the fired chicken, but you can have it on the side so you can dip it. Usually we order this to share s a family, but today I wanted to enjoy it myself, but I did save half to bring home for my son.
Jam Ja Myun (짬짜면 / 炸酱面炒码面) – 1/2 noodle with black bean sauce, 1/2 noodle with spicy chop suey soup. This is a favorite that is often ordered by my wife and kids.
There were three other dishes that were ordered, but they were new and I didn’t catch the names of them and you will have to just figure it out by showing the pictures to the wait staff. One thing you should consider is what your spicy preference is. Get an idea from the wait staff by asking them questions because there is not way to convey how spicy is spicy. Yes they may have the dish labeled as spicy and they may tell you it is spicy, but if you have a higher tolerance for spiciness you might be disappointed and I suggest you go in with an open mind and experience it. Then the next time you’ll have a realistic expectation and able to express it to friends who you know well their spicy tolerance is 😉
    * I’d recommend any of the dishes we ordered, but my top favorite is the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken alone or as a side dish to share.

Normally I’d have provide pictures of all our dishes, but because my friend’s wife just got the newest Samsung I asked her to capture all the dishes.

Payment – Credit Cards work but I don’t know if they don’t accept AmEx or Discover which sometimes happens, and cash is king.

I gave Korean Noodle House 5 Stars based on the food, service, and atmosphere. There are many Korean Restaurants from Flushing to Bayside along Northern Blvd., but this is our go to locations as it’s close to home and for friends to join us. I’d rate it $, but I’d keep in mind that prices have slowly been creeping up.

I went with a relatively large group (9 people) and they took us to the back where we were given a private room. The food overall was very flavorful and delicious with generous portion sizes. The banchan (free small dishes shared at the table) was limited in variety and nothing to write home about. The service was also extremely slow, it took them over 30 minutes to come and take our order despite pressing the service button multiple times.
