I ordered a combo shawarma which has lamb and chicken.
When you order a shawarma you visualize a lot of meat wrapped with a tortilla but what I got was little bit of meat in a pita bread
Me and my family tried it and it was not good
At one point it started tasting bitter
And you can tell the meat is not fresh
When I asked them why is the shawarma like this and not in a long tortilla wrap
They said this is how we make our shawarma
IN A SMALL A** PITA BREAD!!!( not what they said, this is what I was thinking )
Even my family said it is not worth it
IT WAS $15
Even chicken over rice from the trucks are better!!!

I really wanted to like this place. But they have a long way to go. I decided go pay a little more and ordered the combo shawarma instead of the typical gyro. Guy kept thinking I said chicken. He didn’t understand what “combo ” meant despite his menu listing combo shawarma. I see him bringing frozen meat from the back and heating it on a fry pan. I immediately regret my decision. Not at all what shawarma is. Of course I mention this to them and they tell me it’s “fresh” from earlier in the day….? Ordered gulab jamun, $8 for 2 pieces and they were frozen. Never in my life have I had cold gulab jamun. Overall the food was ok. Not worth it tho, Not happy.
EDIT: they basically left a reply, telling me to go f myself, without saying it.

I would like it not nasty, and reheated in a pan, with hard chunks that hurt my teeth to chew. The bad reviews are true.

If you want good quality, go to Levantine Shawarma and Grill in Wyckoff. You get good fresh food, for cheaper than this place.
At Shawarma Pita, the employees were very respectful, and were NOT rude, like the reviews say.
What I ordered here at ‘Shawarma Pita’ was terrible. Despite the negative reviews, I wanted to give this place a chance!
I ordered the chicken shawarma pita which came with a side of fries.
I’m still spitting out HARD rock like chunks of shawarma chicken, as I type this. The fries were SITTING OUT in a silver bowl, when I walked in.
I REGRET my purchase, and wish I just continued walking after I left the first time, but my friend recommended it to me.
Please improve your quality. I want to give this place a second chance, but not until it gets better.

I ordered lamb shwarma plater, the cost was $19.60. The lamb was from costco and pita from some grocery store, the rice were bland and fries were without taste… in all i would not recommend this to anyone and in their restaurant it seems everything is not made in house… waste of money!!! And expensive!!!!
The owner replied below but im not going back there because what i saw was that everything cooked is frozen and no taste.
I wish I could give these guys a 4+ stars, but I’d be lying if I did. The customer service was good. First time having a shawarma kind of thing and he helped me pick it out and was very patient with me. But food was a disappointment, and the lamb tastes very bland. And the jerk chicken over rice I ordered, wasn’t cut up into pieces which made it hard for me to eat since I only had a plastic fork that they provided, and it was also undercooked. Ordered fries, the shawarma, jerk chicken over rice, and a vanilla shake and somehow everything ended up at $80. No receipt so I couldn’t see what he charged me for but damn it is overpriced. Wish I had a better experience
