Another road trip.. Another seafood cajun boil bag…….saturday night and the place had one table of 2 in it… Made me kinda nervous… I ordered anyways. Take out…..
Staff was very friendly and pleasant.
I ordered get your hands dirty. Love the name but they weren’t joking they did not add gloves like other places do which forced me to get my hands dirty well eating this boil bag.
Picked a lobster tail a pound of headless shrimp and half dozen of clams. Butter garlic and cajun mild spice.
I also ordered a side of rice which cost me $4 a little disappointed in that price normally a side of rice with those are typically $2.
I didn’t add the corn on the cob due to the fact that my teeth do not like eating into it right now due to my Invisalign braces. Came with enough potatoes and something that I’ve never had in a boil bag before was to hard boil eggs which tasted delicious.
They left the seafood in the bag that I get spoiled in but they also added a metal tray to dump it out in.. which was a pleasant surprise…
I also ordered a Thai boba tea I like that they had a good selection of teas and different style boba’s.

I gave four stars due to the fact that the seafood was a little overcooked the lobster tail due to being overcooked with super tough. Along with the clams and shrimp as well.

Personally I found the management to be unprofessional so I don’t plan to come back here solely because of that.

When the management is unprofessional the staff will be as well.

Upon entry the waitress was kind and friendly. She seated us quickly and gave us our menus.

They do not serve alcohol at this time. Most of their beverages are teas, canned/fountain soda. My Pepsi was a fountain soda- it was flat. They also use paper straws-if that’s a thing for you. And they didn’t have lids for they’re plastic cups. (Also why have plastic cups and not plastic straws?)

The food: I ordered the “Get your hands dirty” snow crabs, with extra corn and sausage with garlic butter sauce.

Personally I felt the snow crab portion was skimpy. The potatoes/sausages were sufficient. The corn was a nice size- they’re bigger than the nibblets-mini corn. The garlic sauce was ok. Not as flavorful as I would have expected. They should add more seasoning.

    The service:
It wasn’t too busy for a Friday night but they did have a few people online for takeout. During my visit here.. my waitress stopped serving my table half way through my dinner… after 20 minutes another waitress came and asked if we were ok. Thankfully because I was thirsty from that bland garlic sauce.

When it’s time to go my waitress then tells me to go pay upfront she’s busy. After which the manager who just finished arguing with my waitress asked another employee to cash us out. Even though she’s standing there and just finished having an entire conversation with another customer.

The service here is poor. The food is meh. Personally I think it’s the same as going to boil shack. Not worth my money at all.

A very unusual restaurant; seemed like a mix of Asian and Louisiana, and it works great. We ordered one of the large combinations that was plenty of food for 3 people. It included steamed clams, steamed mussels, lobster tail, snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn on the cob, all prepared with your choice of seasoning and sauce. We ordered a mix of Cajun and garlic butter. It was all delicious, almost all gone, and we used almost all the napkins that they brought to us.

I am a fan of Union. I live near Troy so have always went to their location. Today I figured to try Albany’s location. I am extremely unimpressed and disappointed. Troy takes it home in every aspect. Albany really needs to mirror Troy in products and measurements. The biggest difference is the flavor. Albany tastes like oil where Troy is burning your tongue (in a great way). Albany’s clams are ginormous, rubbery, slimy, tasteless. I am afraid to try anything else from Albany.
