My son and I went for dinner early last night being aware that Your restaurant was popular . We were seated in an almost empty area . As we were settling in a group of 3 people was ushered in and seated across the aisle just behind us and proceeded to carry on loud conversations and laughing to the point of making it hard for us to converse. That behavior persisted despite my turning around to indicate that they were annoying I was totally ignored. As far as i could tell wait staff did nothing to quiet the group. I like the restaurant and enjoy the food, but it seems to me that something has to be done to alert patrons to the fact that they are in a small , limited space and to respect the presence of other diners. Thank you for whatever you can do to ensure all patrons have an enjoyable time while dining there.
Arties has been our favorite Seafood restaurant for a number of years. The food is ALWAYS Fresh and Delicious, the staff are excellent and friendly. You could not find a better seafood restaurant with a laid back atmosphere and Excellent selection of delicious fresh fish. Aside from their regular menu they also have Specials that change often depending on what is “In Season” . Arties is not only a restaurant but also a fresh seafood market with a great selection of the freshest seafood from all over plus an abundance of locally caught fish. Arties has never failed to meet or exceed our expectations whenever we have dined there, I look forward to my next visit !

Every time I come to NYC I have dinner at Arties. Actually this was my second visit. I returned because food was good. This time it wasn’t. The lobster tail at $39 for 7 oz was tough and dry. The sweet potato fries were over cooked. The roasted potatoes were hard. And the coconut shrimp was over cooked. And clam chowder was tasteless.Needless to say, me and my family will not be returning.
Never ate here before. The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is light and pleasant. We had a great lunch and will be back. Seafood was the best!
The food is good when they have it In stock. Had the mussels gorgonzola which is out of the world best around hands down.
Sat down with my wife at 530 and no one came over until 20 min went by after I grabbed a bus boy. Then she takes our order. We ordered an appetizer and two main dishes. 15 min go
By and the server comes over and said you need to order another meal it’s not on the menu any more. This is the second time this has happened and it’s a shame I want to keep giving them
Business but I am done. Ruined my meal
