This place is a fantastic Mexican restaurant! 🇲🇽 Te Quiero offers a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 Mexican dishes 🍽️ like tacos 🌮 burritos 🌯, and rice bowls 🍚 alongside shakes 🥤, beer 🍺, and sangria! 🍹 Definitely get the Chicken 🐔 Quesadilla and Beach 111 Serenity Shake (with peanut 🥜 butter 🧈, almond milk 🥛, and banana 🍌)! Staff 👨‍🍳 is super friendly, service is quick ⏲️, ambience 🎶 is nice, and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! 🪑 This is one of my favorite spots around Rockaway Beach! ⛱️ I wish I came here more often!

Don’t listen to the haters! The food is great and so is the staff!
The birria tacos are crispy, salty and have a hearty beefy flavor that will leave you wanting for more, especially combined with the beef broth/dip.
In typical Mexican style the tacos are small yes, but boy do they pack a flavor punch 👊🏽
Definitely wanna stop by after your visit to the beach. 💯

The birria tacos were alright although the consome was a bit too watery. The steak rice bowl was very underwhelming, especially because I don’t like the kind of rice they used (paraboiled, perhaps?). Love the name of the place though, and it was funny to hear “Te Quiero?” when they answered the phone. The service was fast (we received our order in less than 10 minutes).

When my family walked in, we were welcomed by the staff. The woman at the front was super friendly and welcoming. Our server was a young kid that had a great attitude and also was very accommodating. We ordered chorizo nachos, shrimp tacos, birria tacos and a smoothie. We sat outside and the service was fast (less than 10 mins) Which was great because we also had a 3 year old with us! We met the owner and he was extremely friendly as well. No complaints about this place. I really loved how it was also kid friendly. Even the music they were playing was 🔥🔥 We’re from Jersey, and we drove to NY for this exact place. Great location since the beach was across the street!

    ### Review for “Te Quero”

Alright, amigos y amigas, gather ’round for the tale of my taco trek to “Te Quero” in Far Rockaway. Spoiler alert: ¡Ay caramba! It was un poco loco.

    **The Scene:**
Picture this – I sauntered into Te Quero, my gringo self craving a fiesta of flavors. Ordered up a steak quesadilla, three tacos, and a smoothie. ¡Vámonos!

    **The Food:**
Let’s talk about that comida. The steak quesadilla? Meh. In the big city mainland, even the sketchy spots are mucho better. The steak was okay, but nothing to write home about. I’ve had better in a bodega.

    **Tiny Tacos:**
Now, the tacos – Dios mío! These things were tiny, like, I needed a magnifying glass to find the carne. I’ve seen more meat on a chicken wing. They should come with a side of binoculars.

    **Condiment Chaos:**
And the condiments, or should I say, the lack thereof. Where’s the salsa, the guac, the crema? It’s like they forgot the fiesta. Even a piñata has more surprises inside.

    **Smoothie Savior:**
But wait, there’s a twist in our tale! The smoothie was el mejor. Fresh, fruity, and fantastico – the only thing that saved this gringo’s trip. Smooth, creamy, and delish. ¡Muy bien!

    **Final Thoughts:**
So, Te Quero, you tried, but no cigar. If you’re stuck on the peninsula and desperate, it’ll do. Otherwise, head to the mainland for some real sabor. Hasta la vista, tacos pequeñitos.

Would I go back? Maybe for the smoothie. But those tacos? No más, por favor.

Hasta luego, and may your next taco trek be más bueno.
