Mojo chicken is great! Love the staff at this location. They are always fast, friendly, and efficient. Clean store and always well stocked. Great pharmacy, too! Never slow and always has my Rx ready.
The Publix in Huntley Pkwy in Pelham is clean and has a great selection of products. The folks who stock the shelves make every aisle look beautiful. Giving 3 stars instead of 5 because one of the main reasons I visit Publix in general, is to get their sushi. And this location in particular has really awful sushi. Most of it’s imitation crab in various forms and sometimes shrimp is thrown in for good measure. I would understand using the cheapest possible ingredients if it were $5 Sushi (although every other Publix has a diversity of good sushi on Wednesdays), but this location in particular always uses cheap ingredients and even on Wednesdays most of their Sushi is full price. It’s pretty disappointing. I’m not sure who they think wants to pay $11 a California roll with imitation crab, but it’s pretty ridiculous and not consistent with what you would see at other Publix locations. It’s weird because I would consider this a cleaner and higher-end Publix than other locations but there’s seafood department doesn’t reflect that.
Store was neat and clean, well stocked. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed shopping there and it was very close to our vacation condo.
I like Publix in general. The one in Helena is pretty great. This one in Pelham I’ve never had quite as good an experience with.
The layout is a bit odd. And the employees just don’t seem as customer focused. There is one review on here that speaks to the customer service and has a photo of a bald man with glasses. And calls him out in particular. And I will say this is the only person I’ve ever seen both try to help a customer and also be rude to the customer at the same time. So kudos on that I guess.
I was waiting in line and he was at the customer service desk and beckoned me to come over. Me, trying to be a little nice, spoke to the woman in front of me who had been waiting longer and asked if she would like to go over there instead. Meanwhile he stared at me and started beckoning at me like I was an idiot or a dog. Even if I had gone over there I’d have been a little pissed at this point since he’s treating me like I’m an idiot for trying to be nice to the lady in front of me. I mean how happy did he think I was going to be after he beckoned at me like I was a dog.
Then once I did check out the two ladies at the counter barely acknowledge me and instead spoke to each other about how they are sick and need to take some medicine etc etc. Nice. Glad you are handling my groceries.
Always treated very nice at the Helena location. At this one it’s about this way every time.
It has great people and great deli food
I love the service
They sure know how to keep the place clean!
