This is now one of only two Krispy Kreme locations in the greater Birmingham area, and the only one south of the city, so it’s usually pretty busy, and the drive through line especially can get very long. We usually go inside to order so it goes quicker. Staff is friendly, and while every so often a certain type of donut may be out, we’ve never had problems with day-old or otherwise subpar products. There is some seating in the cafe if you want to eat there, and the donut assembly line is fully visible to watch as you wait. Their hot sign is regularly on!
I’ve been coming here on and off for the past 3 years. And the only reason I keep coming back is to see if they improved at all. NOTHING has changed at all. They are still very very very very RUDE when placing a order. They will give you the nastiest look and treat you as a burden and not a paying customer. I highly suggest for management to train their workers on commen decency and respect. Me and plenty of others have been disrespect and treated wrong at this exact location for years and years. Better yet, I wouldn’t even bother stopping here ever again. They will only give you a headache and attitude. Never again, save your money, and save yourself a headache.
I’ve been to a bunch of the different Krispy Kreme locations. This one has great service however they never seem to have all of the feature donuts they advertise which is annoying. It’s a smaller shop that does a ton of business. Be ready for a wait but if you’re a donut fan Krispy Kreme is the very best out there.
Order of 20 dozen doughnuts needed for wedding reception placed and paid for 2 weeks in advance, to be picked up at a specific time. The person picking up order was told there was no such order. Once I provided the order #’s, they found the orders but didn’t have enough doughnuts. Was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Offered no assistance in getting doughnuts to venue.
Placed an order, proceeded to wait 20 minutes for pickup, then an additional 20 minutes to then be told they don’t have the donuts we selected. We asked for a refund in that case. Waited another 20 minutes for a manager to tell us they can refund and gave me a number to call (spoiler that took YET another 20 minutes). Beyond the inconvenience of it all, there was no courtesy from the staff or even an apology. Just a speech about how we should order in the morning. Which the entire reason we were there was because we live far away and happened to be in the area and wanted a treat. Will not be coming back to this specific store and certainly hope any others in the future will be better.
