I’ve been grilling steaks for over 20 years so every year on vacation, I like to grill steaks at least once. After looking through many local supermarkets online, The Fresh Market was the first I could find with an actual meat counter, as I prefer to pick my steaks rather than picking some average looking prepacked steaks. I chose one great looking filet for my girlfriend and a beautiful porterhouse for myself. Both were lightly seasoned (salt, pepper, and garlic powder) and then grilled over charcoal to medium rare. We both had at least a little of each steak and they were both absolutely amazing. I had prime rib at one of the more upscale restaurants in the area, and both steaks were better (though the prime rib was still very good). I will be buying all my vacation steaks here from now on.
Everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. So excited that you had cotton candy grapes and pine strawberries. The only disappointment was I didn’t receive my discount on my crab cakes. It was buy one get one free and I was charged for two. Unfortunately I don’t live close to a store or I would go every week.
The cashiers and the meat department have great and happy customer service! I love how they make my day!
The hot bar and bakery just DO NOT care what customers see or hear! Watching an employee be yelled at today by a manager in the hot bar department on one visit, while another manager asked an employee how her day was going, the employee said not good, instead of showing real concern the manager told the employee to be quiet. When I went to the bakery they make amazing strawberry pillows. Every time I come they are sold out. So I asked the baker if they only make so much a day, even though every day they are sold out? I was trying to find out what time is best to come before they sell out. The lady looked me in the eyes and said we are too busy with everything they tell us to do to make everything we offer every day…. I smiled and walked away. They are clearly unhappy employees and are rude to customers as a result!
I just do not feel comfortable eating food made from people who are so bitter and mad. It will be a long time before I dare try the bakery and hot bar! For now I will continue to buy their fresh coffee and candies. The prices are way too high to be treated like I was today.
The pizza was very good and the store employees are nice. The store itself is awesome. Do not order pizza through Uber eats! They will not cancel your order and will not refund you. Everybody wants to make sure they get their money because that’s what it’s all about right? I’m very disappointed in how our situation was handled by Uber.
Just read a review below about their bakery department and I have to chime in and say that my experience was very different. The two female employees working around noon today (May 27th, Memorial Day) were awesome. The younger lady helped me pick out a cake for my daughter’s birthday. The other lady working chit chatted with me and I found out that she had just put out some amazing looking cannolis that she made herself. I had to grab one. She told me to let her know if they were good. I wish I had gotten her name to let her know that they are beyond good. They’re even better than my cannolis from my usual spot. Amazing.
