The baked goods are really good, but there was a sign for a dozen chocolate cookies for 5.99 when I got up front it rang up over $10 so the owner told me I was wrong and to show her where the price said 5.99. So when I showed her the sign …

This is hands-down the best sandwich I’ve found in Laurens County. Fresh ingredients leave you feeling good. One of the only places to get a healthy meal. The freshly squeezed lemonade is the best I’ve had since childhood. The staff is very friendly, the service is prompt, and the food is deliciously made to order. Oh, they also have tons of baked goods, cookies, and cakes for your sweet tooth. I really enjoy eating at the old marble counter at the big windows up front! It overlooks the main intersection and the town square. Great food and atmosphere! I’ll be back.

Don’t waste your money here. Went in to have lunch and buy some cookies. Cookies were supposed to be $6 a dozen, but they rang up at $10.99, 11.87 with tax. For 12 cookies?? When I questioned this, I received a snotty remark from the clerk. Well, she got to keep the cookies, I kept my money, and we went elsewhere for lunch. I won’t be back to this bakery. It used to be friendly and far more reasonably priced. Not so anymore. I don’t look for them to be in business much longer.

We waited at the counter to give them our order for nearly 15 minutes. They finally told us to fill out one of the slips with what we wanted. We filled it out and sat down to wait for our order. Around 15 or more minutes later, a gentleman sitting behind us, who came in after we did, told us that our slips were still sitting there and that they wouldn’t make our order until we paid. So, I went back to the counter and stood another few minutes before they came over to get the slips from me, and I paid for it. They did not have the ingredients (egg salad) to make one of the sandwiches, so we both got chicken salad. (We felt the chicken and bread were a little tough for our liking). They didn’t have chips and said it would take 10 or more minutes if we wanted them. So, we just ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and two drinks – $19.25. It was nearly 45 minutes from the time we entered until we finally got our food. Not a good experience at all.
