I have a stomach disorder that makes it really hard to eat sometimes and for some bizarre reason these packs of lime jello and pineapple are one of the few things I can get down. I always buy at least four or more packs when I come to this store because Walmart’s price on these is between .75 and 1.00 less on these packages. Anyways, for two days there hadn’t been any more on the shelves and I REALLY didn’t want to go searching for them somewhere else AND paying way too much… So I threw caution to the wind and decided to call the store and ask them if they had any, but I was only about 10 or 15 minutes away when I called. The person I spoke to said she was happy to go and have a look and call me back as soon as she finished helping the customer she was with; well, I got to the store before I got a return call and luckily there were plenty on the shelf but by that point I was feeling paranoid and just grabbed all the ones I could reach (they’re always on the top shelf).
So I grab the other couple of things I needed and came home and while I was unloading my groceries, my phone rang. It was the woman from Walmart apologizing for taking so long to get back to me and I said it was fine, that I had already been there and picked up the packages I needed. But the kicker is that she got the last couple that I hadn’t bought (mostly because I couldn’t reach them) and set them aside for me. That’s customer service that people don’t always expect or receive at Walmart, but this particular store has some really, really great associates who do go above and beyond!
Oh my goodness THIS is not my regular Walmart but it certainly is one of the friendliest ones!
Tina took me by the hand and helped me pick a Turkey as we got to talking. She also made sure I found the cream cheese that I originally asked for too!
I got a complete Thanksgiving dinner for $36!
I only shop at this store when I’m visiting with my niece in Simpsonville. It’s a very convenient place to shop, it’s close to her house and there’s a little bit of every thing there. It’s mostly a grocery store, with a lot of the things they sell at the regular Walmarts. I wish there was one in Easley, but sadly its not, one can only hope that it happens one day.
Clean, gray store. Nice staff. Unfortunately the screens at checkout are too small. I was overcharged when an item was rung through twice. It would be easy to see at a normal grocery store, but it took a couple of minutes for the employee to figure out which item was scanned twice. Please double check your receipts everybody!
I just saw an employee park in one of the first parking spots in the parking lot. It’s already a small parking lot with few spots, and just imagine all the old or pregnant woman who could have this spot.
