Delicious cookies, and they have a great National Cookie deal. Not only will you get one free traditional cookie for the holiday, but they have a pick up or delivery of 12 traditional cookies for $12+tax. My first visit of definitely more!
So when i heard we had a place like this i thought it was the coolest. I finally got to go. I was surprised that the great american cookies has more of a selection. They do make cookie cakes but what i was expecting was specialty cookies. They have classic cookies them big cookies and cookie cakes. They also surve ice cream with basic topics. Im not complaining bc i was going soley for the experience. Pricing…ok so for cookies it was expensive but this location was in the heart of Clemson university filled with students and higher class folks…so it didnt surprised me. I got 2 regular ice creams, a pet chocolate milk, a huge funfetti cookie, and 12 cookies. My bill was around 53 bucks. The only other thing they may push people away is they only accept cards at this location. I pay with a card generally so it was of no inconvenience for me. Overall its a nice place. Cookies are warm and really yummy. They have vegan and keto friendly cookies. The 4 stars were only given to the fact that they only accept cards and for some thats an issue. Over all. I enjoyed it and ill return.
The cookies are so good!! Just be aware if you order delivery they use DoorDash and the DoorDash drivers are rude and never on time. I waited 2 hours for my driver to even pick up my order. The people at insomnia were very nice, however, and tried to help me with the issue.
Wanted to make sure I took the time to commend the young man working tonight (I believe his name is Garren), for his incredible response to being ALONE all night with a packed out store. I’ve been in multiple times tonight to pick up orders & each time the store has been so packed you barely had standing room but he managed to get customers orders taken, made, get us delivery drivers our orders, etc in a very timely manner (especially considering his circumstances) and all with a lighthearted attitude and maintaining a overall positive atmosphere & customer experience for all. The service I’ve witnessed & experienced tonight from his has exceeded the past visits with multiple staff members present in the time I’m in & out & overall experience left with when walking out the door. I’m not sure what happened for him to be all alone tonight, but he definitely thrived through the chaos. Someone get this man a manager position or something because as someone who has worked in & managed in the customer service industry, this is the type of character & presence you want leading the operation! Props to you Garren!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
