Finally Simple Roast!! A brick and mortar coffee spot in Auburn that has THE best coffee, but now with the added bonus of some food items AND turn around to a cocktail bar at night?! They are doing everything right here, from the coffee drinks and atmosphere, to the staff and small food menu (have to try the cocktails once the bar is open). Finally, a coffee place in Auburn that serves (great) espresso in demitasse! You will not be disappointed, everything here is top notch! 👌
EDIT: Tried a couple of the drinks recently and they were delicious, very(!) well balanced, thoughtfully crafted cocktails. Highly recommended, there is nothing like this within 20 miles of Auburn.
Great new spot in Auburn! Same great Simple Roast coffee, quick friendly service. I especially enjoyed the Banana Nut Bowl. Ample comfortable seating and super stylish interior. New local gem!
I absolutely love it here. We’ve now had both the cafe and cocktail bar. The cafe was everything you could hope for. We came in on the Saturday of opening week, it was very busy but the service was very quick, and we got a table to sit and enjoy our toasts and coffee. Since we’ve ordered to go and even having the toasts to go they are phenomenal. We went to the cocktail bar tonight (may 3rd) for my birthday and the atmosphere was totally different. Dimmer lights, a bit less hectic. The bartenders were the sweetest, enjoyed having conversations with us, and again service was great. We all had drinks and grilled cheeses and while grilled cheese may not sound elegant, Roast and Toast knows how to do it! Everything was so good, we will definitely be back!
Birthday outing- lemon lavender cocktail was good all cocktails listed with pictures of the glass its served in was nice. All drinks are $12 which I consider pricey but to each their own. Servers were nice and willing to make anything you want but when our group went out front to take a picture our drinks were removed as if we were done. All of our belongings were left at our table and our drinks were not gone!!! Half glasses of a $12 drink were taken. Soft music turned up would help with the noise of everyone inside when it gets busy, sounds like a noisy restaurant. I expect that at a diner in the morning but not out for drinks with friends. The decor is pretty drinks are different im good on a one and done visit.
Simply the best new cocktail bar in Auburn! Absolutely loved my experience here including the drinks, food, and the environment. The bartenders are all awesome in their own ways and make the tastiest drinks. I tried the “Little Tramp” and quickly ordered seconds, can’t wait to try the rest of their menu one day.
