5 Reviews on “Primrose Cafe”
Not exactly a café, this very small breakfast/ lunch counter seems to have more in common with an office break room… but without chairs.
Located in a windowless room on the ground floor of a ten-story office building, I was surprised to find this coffee shop, even though it physically shares an interior wall (and also management) with 677 Prime steakhouse. Luckily, there was a portable billboard outside on the sidewalk – I never would have seen the tiny 18″ x 30″ sign on the lower door.
But the servers are friendly enough, and the cappuccino is not bad. There is also a small selection of sandwiches, bagels, and salads. Of course, with no seating, everything is “to-go,” in disposable cups, containers, utensils, etc.

While another reviewer unfairly blasted Primrose for their location, those of us working nearby find this to be an excellent little cafe to grab a coffee and chat with very friendly staff. Their lattes and prices beat the pants off nearby Stacks, where you pay to finance their bougie Brooklyn ambiance and pretend it’s good coffee 🙂
