I ordered a birthday cake weeks in advance. Upon pick up they had my boyfriend waiting as they stated “we can’t find the cake”. Pick up was for 10:00 and we didn’t receive the cake until 10:43. I called the store and asked what was going on and was told the “manager was handling it”. No apology or any concern in the voice of the worker. I believe the cake was hurriedly made in the back. I was charged 50$ for a 30$ cake that was falling apart. I emailed the store and was told it was my fault and wouldn’t be receiving a refund and now no one is responding to me. The staff and is incompetent and lacks bare communication skills along with lackluster items, I had better from the local supermarket. It was all for a special someone’s birthday that this bakery damaged. Go else where!
Been going for years so this was my top bakery for a while. Went yesterday for some pastries and when I opened it had mold. I took it back and the manager was more concerned about who served me than their quality control. This pastry looks like it’s about a week old. This doesn’t grow overnight. Very disappointing experience, will not be going back.
I ordered a custom NY style cheesecake with vanilla buttercream frosting, gold trim and happy birthday written in gold as well. They exceeded my expectations, their cheesecake is so creamy and to die for. The decoration was exactly how I wanted it. It was perfect!
Venue is undergoing renovation. Was informed that it will be completed in late June. Bakery is still open and a walk down past the restaurant.
Picked up a coffee & cigar pastry for $8. Good pastries at reasonable prices. Didn’t have to wait too long, plenty of staff on duty to assist 👍👍
Guess my only complaint is I couldn’t find a restroom. Will return again in June to update my review to 5 stars ⭐️
My partner and I have had Buttercooky many times over the years due to our families living in the area and our employers opting for them during work events. We’ve tried their cakes and cookie platters but they are always too sweet. The cake itself is dense which isn’t usually a deal breaker but the frosting is so sweet that I end up having to separate it. The cookies despite trying different kinds all taste very similar and one dimensional. I haven’t actually gone in to order myself so cannot speak to service or atmosphere. I just wish there was less sweetness overall in their desserts.
