$9.99 for a medium, $11.99 for x-large?! Severely overpriced for an underwhelming drink. The temp of the drink was not even cold which made it even worse of an experience for me. The boba was not sweet, no flavor at all. I’d prefer it to be boiled in a brown sugar mix as most places I’ve been to have it done.
Delicious iced coffee!
The guy that made it is super nice!
he added some extra colorful boba too!
totally recommend !
best place in plattsburgh
my mom got some pineapple boba tea and she said its the best tea she ever had !
I have to say that I know first-hand how expensive it can be to run a shop like this in the mall as I was also planning to do the same. The cost of the drink I purchased is $11 which is just too high… I could go eat an entire meal at the Jade buffet for that price. Even though some of the ingredients themselves are expensive, it is very hard to justify to a customer, especially to the large student population, that $11 is worth it for a drink. Not to mention, the drink is 1/4 ice with no apparent option to exclude it. Worst of all though, was that the tapioca pearls in my boba drink were not soft like they are supposed to be. This ruined the drink for me, and I’m sure seasoned or veteran ‘boba drinkers’ know the consistency of a tapioca pearl when it’s been left in the fridge too long or cooked incorrectly. Further, there only 1 size of drink, which is okay, but that wasn’t obvious by the menu signage. Nor is the pricing clear enough.
Besides that, the person running the cafe wasn’t unfriendly but they seemed unprofessional. Their demeanor gave me the impression that the cafe was an afterthought and that they did not really care for it.. which was apparent by the staff member casually talking on the phone while waiting for customers. Not a huge deal, but just something to note.
I am giving 3 stars because I respect the effort, but I honestly don’t see this place lasting long. I think that if you are serious about staying in business, you have the potential to reach a far higher number of customers, especially students, if you are willing to put the effort into fixing the above-mentioned issues.
Went to the counter only to find a sign stating the attendant was on a “10” minute break.
Waited over 10 minutes. No one returned.
It would have been nice to try something here. But I guess they don’t want my $…..Good luck staying open.
25 dollars for two drinks? Seriously? This place is a joke, usually we buy two drinks for 11-13 dollars. We haven’t bought from here so can’t judge the taste, but we wonder how many customers they have with such overpriced tea. When we came there was a child at the register, which is completely unprofessional. This place doesn’t have employees, so we assumed it is completely family run, and if they take all of the profits (except rent) then the prices shouldn’t be this sky high. We never turn around and leave, this was truly the worst experience with boba ever. This is a money grabber, not a business.
