5 Reviews on “The Village Tart”
Loved everything about this eatery. My one complaint was that the popoveres were too over done and it made it difficult to eat my sandwich. They should be served warm and soft.
Best pop overs I have ever had are at Mario’s restraunt in New Lebanon NY. I think the owner of this establishment would benefit from going there for the experience of the popovers.
I loved the staff I loved the decor in and out. I will be back food itself was a good experience. Hope they experiment.
The village tart is such a great place because of all its attention to little details. My son and I played games at the table while we enjoyed our food. And he even got a balloon when we left. The owner and employee are so kind and welcoming. Not just food and drink, but an all around experience. Already planning our next visit!
We happened upon this place while passing through town, and I’m so glad we did. Very kid-friendly (including a toy kitchen to keep them occupied), but a magical place for all ages! It can be daunting to go into any restaurant with a curious toddler, but Cynthia and staff made us feel right at home. Great experience and we hope to visit again.
What a hidden gem! You can tell by its name that you’re in for a unique experience. The Village Tart doesn’t disappoint. The eating area is comfortably rustic with a stunning mural on the back wall. Staff are welcoming and wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. That included the beef burgundy, egg salad sandwich, side salad, and coffee. The menu and daily specials are on their Facebook page. We will be back soon to try their desserts.
What an absolutely lovely cafe! From the ambiance and decor to the enthusiasm and passion of the staff to the incredible food and drinks. All around wonderful experience to dine here. I took the recommendation for the Paisley Punch which was perfectly refreshing. Also tried the English muffin with Raspberry which was fresh and so delicious. It was the one year anniversary which was celebrated with free chocolate cupcakes and they were decadent and oh so yummy. I cannot wait to visit again and try something else!
