This is a great place to have coffee, a pastry and enjoy people watching. It’s located on Broadway, this is right thru the middle of town, and the service is great.
The line at Starbucks was very long, however it moved super quick- I was pleasantly surprised. My only issue was while waiting for our second drink the two associates at the window were discussing their personal hygiene. The male stated how he didn’t shower and just threw on some deodorant and rushed to work. They even made a gesture of high fiving. It was very odd, I shouldn’t overhear something like that, especially in the food industry.
“Smug, immature customer service”
My daughter ordered a drink which we got after a reasonable time. However, we also ordered a danish that didn’t come. After “10” minutes I asked one of the young ladies who was desperately trying to avoid eye contact with customers if she knew the status of the food. She looked put out, but checked, came back and said. It was next. She then proceeded to complain about me to several of her peers. I waited a few more minutes before going back to the original sales person to get an update. He then informed me apologetically that they actually were sold out of the item we had ordered. At this point I was beyond frustrated. I asked for the manager. The apologetic cashier said that there was no manager today (Saturday Labor day weekend.), but they had a stand in. The stand in manager apologized and gave me two other danishes. He did the right thing, but as he was doing so the same smug young lady (long light brown hair) passed by and I tossed both danishes on the counter and walked out. Just disgusting behavior.
The guy at the window the other morning was great at his job but also HILARIOUS! Promote above peers, I say. I’ll edit this when I go again and get his name.
Chaos every time I visit the Kelch Drive Malta, NY location. Today may be the last time I visit after waiting 25 minutes for drinks that never were made. Ended up asking for a refund and got drinks elsewhere. This was an off peak visit too, mid-afternoon and few people in DT and cafe. The floor at this location always looks confused, messy, and full of waste (from a lean process perspective as well as mis-made product).
