Hero Donits in Hoover ! Yes please! They have goodies ranging from unique and delicious donuts to breakfast plates. Definitely swing by and grab some goodies, they were delicious !
Went to this location for our first visit and everything was fantastic. The donuts were fresh and amazing, the breakfast sandwich with bacon was fantastic and my son said that the French toast was the best in Birmingham. Highly recommend.
One of our favorites! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have much more than just donuts. Their breakfast and lunch food is delicious. My favorite thing is that they have breakfast all day. I’ve tried everything on the menu and haven’t had anything I didn’t love. My favorite is the kolache and overnight oats.
I want to preface by saying I reached out to Hero Donuts before posting this. I initially got a response and it seemed they were going to take the issue seriously but I never heard back.
We went the day after Christmas and got 7 donuts. All of the yeast donuts(all but one donut) tasted spoiled. They were also completely flat which I’ve never seen in Hero donut. I have been going to the Birmingham location for over a year.
I’ve only gone twice. First time we sat inside and we ordered three donuts and it took forever to “deliver” them when they could have done it at time of sale. And then they got the order wrong. Of course being there allowed us to get it corrected. Today I went in and ordered take out. Got home and they once again got the order wrong. $32 for a dozen donuts is ridiculous to begin with but when only 9 are correct, it kind of doesn’t sit well. But then it’s only donuts so I’m not going to let it ruin my day. For those that haven’t tried HERO in Hoover, they have two classes of donuts and it is rather confusing because there is no sign/indication as to which is which. I really just wanted eight donuts and got talked into a dozen because it was supposedly cheaper. I ended up with eight of their “standard” donuts and four of their “specialty” donuts which drove my cost way up apparently and then three of them were the wrong ones. Please HERO, just make it easy. And train your people. They do not seem to know what they are doing.
