5 Reviews on “Panera Bread”
The perfect place to go on a hot Alabama day! The restaurant was very cool, clean and you never feel rushed to leave. Post COVID restrictions, many of the items I am used to getting throughout the day seem to be sold out but I understand they have less staff and probably less customers too. If I come before noon, the bakery items I want are available but getting an Orange Cranberry muffin at 4:30pm may be a thing of the past. I still would recommend, just don’t expect many bakery items in the late afternoon to evening hours.
Very disappointed with Panera today. Panera used to be known for great customer service, great food quality and more than average servings. Today, was not like that. My husband and I chose the Pick 2. We both chose French Onion soup because it’s always been amazing in the past. We each chose a 1/2 sandwich. The piece of bread was so thick and the inside was definitely lacking ingredients. You had to take a bite of the sandwich to even notice if there was anything in it. My pepperoni melt literally had five or six pieces of pepperoni, and not much cheese at all. Needless to say, I will be taking it home and adding some more things to it and putting it back in the oven. The suit was lacking cheese for sure. It also tasted like water. I don’t know what Panera bread is doing as far as their quality of food and customer service but if things do not change soon, they will end up bankrupt like every other franchise restaurant.
I always enjoy the food and staff is always friendly, but my visit today was the fourth visit in a row my food has been served on dirty/stained dishes. The staff claims they’re clean, just stained, but it’s unsettling to have chicken and rice soup served in a bowl with dark brown stains. The silverware is grimy (staff claims it just needs to be polished) but I feel it’s embarrassing for an establishment to expect guests to use silverware that looks and feels like this. I have 20 year old silverware at home that has never been polished and it does not look as crusty as this. It entirely ruins the experience to feel like I’m eating off unwashed dishes.
My husband and I frequent Panera Bread at Bridge Street several times a week during breakfast and dinner hours. The staff there are very nice and greet everyone when they come in the door. I love the chicken and wild rice soup and the pepperoni flat bread. We belong to the Sip Club and this is beneficial if you visit on a regular basis. The environment is inviting and calm which is perfect for studying or simply meeting a friend for a meal.
Felt very rushed in the drive through this morning. The girl at the window with dark hair wasn’t friendly at all. I spilled my coffee after she handed it to me and she didn’t so much as ask if we needed extra napkins or anything. And come to find out there wasn’t even napkins in the bag. At least greet your customers “Good morning, how may I take your order”.
