Fun little atmosphere. Had tea citrus tea with honey – not coffee – and it was great. Fun book selection if you’re an enthusiast or looking for a gift.
Good coffee and great cookies.
However, downstairs had the atmosphere of a study hall. Could not talk without getting glared at by people studying. Everyone else in there was on a laptop or studying something – we were the only ones trying to talk. So go there to study but not to chat!
Church Street Coffee and Books is a quaint, local coffee shop and book store in Crestline Village area of Mountainbrook. The coffee is good, the service is personal, and the cookies and other items are delicious. It’s a great place to read and study. The setting and atmosphere are what sets it apart.
The break up cookie is so good. They are pricey but worth it. There is a reason I don’t come there often, otherwise I’d be broke fat and happy. Half dozen for $14 is a lot, but it’s worth it
Hard to beat a bookstore coffee shop! This is a cozy little one in the middle of Crestline Village with nooks to hide everywhere. They serve Nonfiction Coffee and have a good menu including the famous breakup cookie. Spot for kids to read & draw, a 2nd story that’s always quiet, and nice little patio space. Staff has always been very nice every time I visit as well. Today just got a black coffee and flavorful.
