5 Reviews on “Granna s Goodies”
I went into this place for the first time Tuesday morning. You can tell they are new because they are still setting the place up.i went in for a coffee but noticed there were no tables and chairs set up. Then I seen the cupcake case. These were beautiful. So I ordered one of each and took them to work. Everyone Loved them. And I have to say you can order lunch at 7:30 am and take it with you. The potato salad was very good. Go check them out.
this bakery is the best around. They always have a variety of sweets also serves breakfast and lunches!! Go in an check it out and buy your self a sweet or 2 shes got a little something for everyone.
Let me tell you a true story, and how a 60th birthday party was ruined. My husband ordered a cake from Granna’s Goodies for my birthday in good faith, and I sadly have to admit it was hands down the worst cake I have ever tasted or cut into. It was simply inedible. The texture was like rubber, the icing was grainy, and I couldn’t serve it to my guests.
Now, I’m all about supporting local small business, and truly believe being honest with an owner is only fair so that they can make right by the issue at hand, and also to improve their product or service. I immediately called the owner and explained the issue with the cake. She was polite, sympathetic, and even offered to bake us another cake (hard pass) however, she never once offered to refund the money spent. She even stated that she switched distributors for her cake mix, so that may have been the reason for the quality. I even physically took the inedible cake to her to show how awful it was, and all she said was ‘sorry’. I gave her ample opportunity to offer a refund (it shouldn’t be my place to ask). Had I eaten the whole cake and THEN called to complain, I could understand, but I took back the entire cake minus a couple pieces (which were tossed after one bite). What a way to spend a milestone birthday – I had to bake my own cake at the 11th hour.
As a previous small business owner myself of 30 years, it’s Business 101 that you refund your customer if they have a viable complaint or dissatisfaction. No questions asked, no hassles. JUST DO IT. The cake I can do without and will never recommend Granna’s Goodies, but a ‘sorry’ isn’t acceptable. I’m ‘sorry’ that I can’t support a business that doesn’t care about the quality of their products or doing the right thing by their customers.
They are the absolute sweetest people with hearts of gold. They have gone above and beyond to help feed and deliver food to my parents during rough times. Support small businesses. You don’t get this kind of service often. They have excellent food/desserts as well. I cannot repay them for their kindness and generosity.
My wife and I went for lunch. The food was pretty good, but the staff seemed a little disorganized and our wait was a little long considering we were on my wife’s lunch break and only had a short amount of time.
