Publix was clean, friendly, and well stocked with a good selection, as usual. Many prices are higher than competitors, but carefully following the sales and coupons can allow one to shop there very competitively with other stores. The meat is better quality than most stores. They have ethnic sections not generally seen elsewhere, too, as well as a good selection of foods for people on diets to avoid certain ingredients.
I love Publix but this location is my favorite. They always go above and beyond to be helpful. I lost my debit card and the manager paid for my groceries out of his own pocket. I did go back the next day and pay him back but for him to even offer was incredible and I will never forget his kindness to me and my family.
I have been to many Publix’s in the Birmingham and surrounding areas and this Publix outranks them all.
We are staying nearby for a few weeks and the first time I entered I thought the cleanliness and friendly staff were because it was late and the store was not busy, turns out that is not the case. Every visit has been met with friendly staff, stocked shelves and a clean atmosphere. There are always checkout lines ready to serve too. I appreciate the efficiency and order this Publix runs with.
Ordered my son’s first birthday cake (a full sheet cake) a week in advance. Showed them the design I wanted, it was a football field cake from their website. Picked it up, and it looked terrible!! The icing and design was so messy, the lettering looked like my one year old son did it. Horrible! On top of that, the cake was very dry. I was disappointed.
Absolute worst publix I’ve ever been in. Has a awful vegetable section. Not fresh. And the meat selection is basically non existent. And just bad. As much as I don’t like shopping at Walmart you might as well just go across the street and shop there. Publix is supposed to have a certain standard and this one just doesn’t have it not sure if it’s the demographic or the management. It’s a disgrace to the Publix name.
