With my refrigerator not working and not having eggs, I was craving a breakfast burrito and especially one with green chile. So when I heard that wired coffee and bagel had a Santa Fe breakfast burrito with green chile salsa, i wanted to go try it.
I’m comparing this on two levels. One as a comparison to what I’m used to and a second comparison on its own merits as a burrito.
As a comparison, it failed. No green chile flavor or taste.
On its own, I tasted no cheese or green chile. It was quite bland with the tortilla or sausage (coming back to that) overshadowing any flavor. There was something crunchy that i couldn’t explain, perhaps something left from the grill?
I’m used to breakfast burritos that open my morning taste buds. This…. This has me wanting to put it down and get breakfast elsewhere. I still haven’t finished it. I don’t like throwing out food so I tried to get myself through it. I failed.
Not a plus or minus but i asked for the sausage on the side. I did not ask them, but I could not tell if the burrito was made on the same grill as the sausage, but it tasted either as if it was on the same grill where the sausage was or was inside and then removed after. That was my fault for not asking if they are made in the same place so i won’t take off for that.
As I’m not a big coffee drinker, there’s not much else i wanted so that was it for this breakfast time.
First time here. Loved this coffee place. Basic breakfast tasted so good.. definitely recommend!!
We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I had the Santa Fe Breakfast Burrito, and it was tasty! I also had a regular coffee with white chocolate syrup added, and it also tasted good. I would recommend coming here and grabbing a quick breakfast.
Saturday morning errands require a bagel, but a good bagel, that’s what my wife and I were looking for when we stopped by. We ordered a cinnamon raisin and sesame seed bagel, both toasted one with butter and the other with veggie cream cheese.
Honestly our server was awesome, loved the warm smile and greeting, but the bagels, not good at all. It was like a glob of dough that was never baked, no crisp to them if they were toasted and my cinnamon raisin bagel, I might have seen a few raisins and the glob of butter on a warmed piece of dough, nope not for me. My wife’s bagel, same except the amount of sesame seeds was a bit better but not nearly what you would expect when you buy a sesame seed bagel.
High hopes were disappointed on a rainy Saturday.
Service was great though.
So glad I came to Wired instead of Starbucks! Always enjoyed the Malta location before they moved, but this location is great. Have a seat inside or outside. Coffee is always great and their breakfast sandwich always hits the spot!
