Family-owned and operated, with military memorabilia decking the walls. Advertising place mats and wholesome food at fair prices, served by friendly waitstaff. Narrow bathroom but clean. Ample parking in the lot out front. On May 14th, 2022 Larry Sharpe made a campaign stop at this diner.
To start, my husband and I have never heard of this restaurant, so we had nothing to go by. We stopped in one morning for breakfast – it was very busy. The food was fine, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was, well, interesting and confusing, and I will explain.
It was New Year’s Day, and we stopped in. The staff seemed busy but nice. There was Spanish music playing in the kitchen and the cooks seemed to only speak Spanish. The kitchen staff and waitstaff seemed like they did not communicate well, if at all, and one waitress even admitted this. This comment came about because I asked for 1 over-medium egg, but got 2 over-easy eggs. I asked to see if I’d be charged for 2, but the waitress said no, and the kitchen staff hardly listen to anything they say.
The waitstaff was very friendly and came over to us often.
With the pictures of different veterans all over every wall in the restaurant, I thought to expect a warm welcome with American values and music. I don’t know the history of this particular place, but first impressions are very important, ans to say in the least, overall, the atmosphere wasn’t the best part of this place.
My husband and I enjoyed the homefries and other foods we had, including applesauce.
The bussers were also very friendly.
If you’re looking for a veteran’s discount and good food, I’d say to recommend. Otherwise, if you’re looking for something more, I’d look around.
My wife and I have 3 kids. On the rare occasion we get to have an overnight “date night”, we come here for breakfast before picking up the kids at my parents. Everything about your diner is awesome. My father, a U.S. Army veteran, regularly eats there with a friend. He can’t say enough good things about your establishment. Rock on!
Passing through town in the early morning, and needed breakfast. Quick search showed this place, so we went. This is what diner food should be; It’s great food, at a great price, with great service.
First time here. Great food, loved the homemade hash, the service with a genuine smile and the prices aren’t too high. Definitely coming back.
