This was our first time at Grappa 72 and glad we went! We had a great evening from beginning to end. We chose a bottle of wine from the fairly extensive wine menu and my wife and I shared the special aranccini appetizer which was wonderful but a bit on the small side … giving us the opportunity to have dessert! My wife had the special pasta entree with shrimp and mushrooms and I had the special entrée veal with scallops over mashed potato; both entrées were very good. We finished our meal with creme brule and carrot cake. Service was well timed and professional and the live music made for a very enjoyable evening. The drive from Malta was well worth it and we will definitely return when we get the chance.
Can’t say enough wonderful things about the dinner experience at Grappa. Armand and his entire staff are wonderful. So attentive. Melina is always on point as the host. Just awesome. Menu selections are delicious. Atmosphere, Friday night jazz trio add the perfect touch. You must try Grappa!
FOOD WAS AMAZING!!(as usual) We had the Pollo saltimbuca and chicken parm, but with vodka sauce. Highly recommend. The service was slower than usual, but it was very busy. I love how all staff assist with clearing the table after courses. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Favorite Italian restaurant by far.
I always come here for the duck and the panna cotta… The duck here is the best in the area and consist since they opened. The potato and leek soup was also very good. My hubby got the salad, pasta special and the amaretto cherry Gelato and said it was delicious as well. I recommend all the foods here but note the bolognese here has cardimon which throws me off and the only place I don’t prefer bolognese… But the duck is my fav anyways. They are also attentive to my food allergy here.
Grappa 72 was lovely! My friend and I felt so special and well taken care of at this restaurant! Our waitress was right on top of everything, checking in on us very frequently! Live music was a plus! Now the food—to die for! Some of the best seafood I’ve had since I’ve been in Albany, and I am from Maryland where we have some of the freshest. I will MOST certainly be back to visit Grappa 72!
