This is a cute and swanky restaurant in Downtown Albany, in a newly restored historic building. The building is spotless and pristine. They have a nice outdoor patio, as well as a main dining room and a bar on the 1st floor. There are 2 …
Nice little place. Decor inviting, staff super friendly and attentive. I had the pasta fagioli soup (veganized), and the dish with pasta, asparagus, tomato sauce with chunks of tomatos, mushrooms and vegan shreds. Perfect! Just the right amount of everything. My husband has the NY strip steak with really nice roasted potatos and broccolini. The steak had pesto sauce on top. He said it was cooked perfectly.
Friendly service. Cocktails that hit the spot and are up to par with a legit cocktail bar. Italian food that delights. Great little spot for a beautiful night outside in Albany.
Rachel did a wedding event for a family friend and made Brazilian food. Best wedding food I’ve ever had! The beans, meat, salad, rice with veggies was so delicious and I felt good after having two plates!! Photo is my second plate! My first was much bigger- had more salad!
Rosanna’s on Dove Street in Albany is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in the area.
For starters the restaurant absolutely beautiful and has so much incredible history. The building has been a landmark in Albany for over 175 years!
We went on a Tuesday and the restaurant was packed— so if that’s not a testament to how great everything is, I don’t know what else could be.
The chef, understanding dietary restrictions, which I have celiac disease, and ensures everyone is accommodated. The staff is knowledgeable and so kind, and their gluten-free menu is the most extensive in the capital region, which is inspired by New York City’s culinary scene.
This is what we had:
Drinks: I had a Cosmo Mocktail and my husband a ‘Paper Plane’ bourbon cocktail
Appetizers: LC Shrimp Balls, Fried Artichoke Hearts, and Gluten-Free Grilled Focaccia with pesto dipping sauce
Dinner: Bolognese, Lemon Chicken Breast with Risotto, and Grilled Sausage and Polenta
Dessert: Pistachio Pudding with an almond cookie, and crushed pistachios
Everything we had was Gluten Free and safely prepared in a dedicated gluten-free area. 🤗
Rosanna’s easily gets a 10/10 in our book. We can’t wait to go back for more!
