5 Reviews on “Jazzboline Restaurant & Bar”
Where to begin. The place is beautiful and the customer service was good. However, the food is overpriced and overrated. I came here for my birthday as I wanted to enjoy some fine dining (never been here before). Everything was great until my food arrived. Appetizer was OK, but needed a little bit of salt. Dinner was absolutely not to par. The presentation looked like my 6yr old daughter could’ve done it. My steak was burned. I did ask for medium well, but it still was burnt. Set my steak back got a new one and that steak was much better but the wine reduction was burnt. Manager came over and apologized for the steak. My plate was extremely hot that I’ve burnt my pointer finger, the vegetables had no seasoning and the mashed potatoes literally had no flavor at all. I was really disappointed. My dessert which was a free cake for my birthday. The cake was good (mind you the cake was from another company, wasn’t made in house). Out of everything, I enjoyed the dessert the most. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this restaurant…definitely overrated and overpriced for something I could’ve made at home, my experience, for my birthday was a sad one.
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Jazzboline during their Sunday “Jazz Brunch” service. We were so impressed at the quality of the food and level of service. We also really appreciated that the volume of the music was appropriate for the space – we could enjoy it without having to shout over it to be heard by our companions.
Favorite items from the meal were the fresh croissants, cinnamon bun, and the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The croissant was hot, buttery, and flaky. The cinnamon bun was a meal unto itself – so sweet and fluffy with delicious fruit and glaze accompaniments. The shrimp cocktail was honestly the best I have ever had in Buffalo: the cocktail sauce was fresh and spicy, and packed with flavor. The shrimp were enormous, ice cold, and cooked flawlessly.
We also sampled the eggs benedict, applewood sausage, and the burrata & heirloom tomato appetizer. All were flavorful and prepared so well.
Service was top notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. We lingered for quite awhile with drinks and coffee and did not at all feel pressured to move on so they could turn a table.
A lovely weekend brunch spot and the live music was an extra bonus. Highly recommend!
It was busy at the restaurant with limited servers, but once our female server arrived we were given two free delicious cocktails for our wait.
I had one of THE BEST espresso coffee martini’s ever! While my friend had the perfect old fashion!
The NY strip steak was done to perfection medium rare, and the aujus was a mix of mushrooms and sweet savoury. Scrumptious and divine.
We had ravioli and roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, and we were highly impressed as our pallets are harder to please with the amount of fine dining we do.
Thank you Jazzboline and your fantastic chefs! We will definitely be back!
Sorry no pictures as I enjoyed the drinks and food so much I forgot to take them!
The Jazzboline restaurant provides a chic and modern dining atmosphere, combining contemporary American dishes with a hint of local flair.
We dined at the Jazzboline restaurant on May 11th. We made reservations ahead of time, and we were glad we did because the restaurant was very busy. The dining area was filled with groups of tables and couples, and the bar buzzed with energy. A lovely tall hostess led us to our table and seated us. A server brought us water and informed us that our actual server would be with us momentarily. Fifteen minutes later, our server had not yet arrived, but the previous server brought over the cocktails we had ordered and mentioned they were on the house—a nice touch. Jazzboline makes excellent Old Fashioneds and Espresso martinis, and they don’t skimp on the alcohol either.
Despite the restaurant being very busy, we appreciated that it was a team effort to ensure we didn’t feel neglected. Some restaurants don’t realize that it can be a tag team effort on some shifts to serve all clients so that they don’t feel forgotten. Jazzboline got it right, so kudos to them.
When our server finally arrived, she was attentive. I ordered the ravioli with a lobster tail, which was good. My girlfriend had the New York striploin steak with Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes. The star of the meal was absolutely the steak—a succulent medium-rare cut done to perfection.
Overall, it was a very good experience. Unbeknownst to me I
left my credit card behind after paying, and they called and left a message. The manager even ran over to the Reikart House hotel, where we were staying, the next day to return it. Thank you!
This place is phenomenal. I went multiple times during my stay at the Reikart House. Mrs. Michelle, Jenna, Chelsea, and Kaylin were so sweet. They are the epitome of customer service. They were kind and knowledgeable of the restaurant. The food was so delicious. My omelet was probably the best I have ever had. The cinnamon roll is the most delectable roll I have ever had. My favorite dinner items are the scallops and risotto, salmon, and Lamb chops. I will definitely be back. The Service and food is second to none.
