great food, better service, limited seating
Vassar offered freshman’s parents free lunch in this dining hall for the first time!
The ambience is very spacious and bright. There are lots of healthy organic vegetables from local farms.
I just took the pic of their ice-cream section, which is the least attractive part ( by design?).
Our favorite place to dine-in in Poughkeepsie 😂 But seriously. One of the biggest perks of working for Vasssar. Love the space, and our kids get to run around and engage with the students while eating healthy food. So many wins. …
The food is so aggressively bland I can’t imagine how students are supposed to eat here 3 meals a day everyday.
As a student here, I really enjoy the food. I have tried dining halls at other colleges, and Vassar’s has always been one of the best. There are plenty of options and variety, including the global station. They offer great vegan, allergy-free, and kosher options. Students may get tired of the food over time, but, hey, that’s any college! There is plenty of seating, and the overall dining hall is clean. Most of the staff are very friendly.
