Such a lovely place. The hostess and the owners were so kind. The food was amazing. Absolutely delicious. The calamari stayed crispy, the bolognese was great, the sirloin steak was tender. The roasted potatoes? Ordered an extra side of those because they were soft like pillows. Everything was so good. Highly recommend.
What a nice little gem. We ate the appetizers so fast that we forgot to take photos! Everything was amazing from beginning to end! So delicious! We will be returning!
Food is absolutely amazing! Went to dine with the family and ordered the prosciutto e burrata, calamari fritti, risotto di mare, spaghetti pomodorro w/ chicken cutlet & special red snapper w/ capers. For dessert we had the mixed berry sorbet and vanilla gelato. Let’s not forget the delicious espresso martinis and watermelon margaritas. Definitely coming back!
Had an amazing experience with my wife and kids at Il Nonno. Staff is amazing, and attentive. The food was out of this world. I know we didn’t take a pictures of the appetizers or the Dessert, but from beginning to end, we indulged in amazing, flavorful, and special Italian cuisine. Don’t forget to ask about the specials. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and anyone I meet. I’m definitely making Il Nonno one of the top restaurants to go, in Queens and in NY. Worth the travel. If you’re in upstate it’s worth the drive. If you’re in the city it’s worth the ride.
My boyfriend and I live nearby and finally tried this place out! The staff was warm and welcoming, the food was fresh and delicious and overall atmosphere was so comfortable.
The watermelon margarita was perfection and the wine selection is thoughtful and great.
We shared the buratta, the bucatini carbonara and the mussels in white wine sauce. Each dish was mouth watering and fresh.
Lastly we shared the Volcano chocolate dessert and it was moist and rich and the perfect size.
We highly recommend this spot and can’t wait to become regulars. Thanks for the hospitality and good food!
