On a random visit we stopped here and each got a chicken souvlaki deluxe with lemon potatoes as a side. Food was really delicious and reasonably priced. Service was good. We sat outside in the tented area on the sidewalk. I’d highly recommend this place
Zorbas is a wonderful cafe. In a line of amazing Greek Restaurants, Zorbas is simple Greek Food. Their Gyro’s are amazing. You can choose from Lamb, Chicken and Pork… Choose Lamb. They will add meat for a little extra. I drive from Brooklyn to get my Gyro and it is always amazing. They also make a great Gyro platter. I have been going here for more than a decade and it has never failed me. Thanks for the great food… You make this over eater very happy!!!!!
Update 4-14-2024 Had a nice Giro Platter there today. Sat outside. Their presentation and food was really very good. Best Giro Platter in NYC. They have also expanded the inside to include way more seating and a back yard garden. I had such a great meal.
This place is an underrated gem. The food was delicious, from appetizers to entrees to desserts. The staff are amazing and friendly. They went above and beyond accommodating both my husband’s wheelchair and our little dog at their outdoor tables. I appreciate that the tables were next to the restaurant and not in the street, and they were shaded from the sun.
I forgot to take photos of the food, so here’s two photos of our dog. He has a mat for sitting outside, which I put down next to me. Then he moved it under the table to people watch – he’s a country dog a bit overwhelmed by the city and appreciated the set-up at Zorba’s.
What a great Greek restaurant! Delicious food, reasonable prices, good portions, friendly service. I ate dinner outdoors on a beautiful night with my toddler and husband and had a great experience. Will be back to try their brunch.
Astoria is known for its amazing Greek food restaurants and with that being said, this one was not the case. Although the service was above average, and waiter was super friendly, the food didn’t do justice. We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon, I don’t know if the kitchen was having a rough day but honestly food wasn’t tasty at all. I almost didn’t finish my order and I was hungry as a bear.
