On our way up to the Saratoga area, we stopped at the New Baltimore Rest Stop. There Black Horse Farms had a little stand outside selling produce and baked goods. We purchased a peach pie expecting it to be delicious like the cashier told us. Unfortunately it was one of the worst pies we’ve ever had. The peaches were gross and tasted like canned food. The pie crust was stale and tasteless. Truly terrible. Would not recommend this place in the slightest
Stopped by on our way back from Coxsackie and was blown away by the breadth, depth, and quality of the offerings in the retail store. The in-store bakery produces a stunning array of fresh-baked treats from pound cake to pretzels. The meat case made me drool and I can’t think of anywhere else I can find Northwind Farm ribeyes, which are incredible. The curation of imported goods, combined with on-farm preserves, produce, etc, is unique. Definitely worth a detour.
Don’t buy there ripple seeds they are complete garbage bought 22 of them for 75 dallors then I called and they where rude and nasty about it didn’t want to deal with it only 1 popped for 75 dallors dont be a victim.They where so rude it was amazing that they keep there business at all hung up on me and said never come back just for explaining a problem with there product.
If you are looking for plants this is the place to go. I love the food too, all there food are locally made with natural ingredients and the pies (specially tomato pie) is to die for, super delicious and everyone that works is are very helpful and kind
I can always find exactly what I need for my gardens. The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable.
