When I walked into this place I was overwhelmed by so many incredible smells. The kitchen was working hard, everyone looked happy and the staff was super friendly. The bartenders were great and service exceptional.
Still dreaming about every dish we got in this place. Everything was excellent – but especially the Brussels sprouts. We were we our dog so we had to eat outside and it took a very long time to be served while waiting in the cold, but once we got the food it was worth it. I loved it! It was expensive but I still recommend it. The perfect food after a long hike.
We chose to be seated outdoors . Where we sat we could see the fresh spring green Beacon mountain. The colorful loop bus making its stop, proud owners walking their dogs and the chic stores all added to the soothing vibes. The service was good and food creative and delicious. The avocado rice had a blend of Mexican and Japanese to it with a crispy finish. I’m sure the other dishes too have unique blends.
Server was nice and doing her best as she was the only server on the floor. A guy stood at the server station (manager? Owner?) but didn’t help out so she was stretched thin. The crab rangoon dip was sickly sweet and the poke was served over steaming hot rice. This is one of those places that focuses on the decor and then stops.
My husband and I have been going to The Wonderbar pretty regularly for dinner and drinks the last few months and love it.
The vibe reminds me of a sweet French bistro. The food is delicious with great gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options…definitely try the brussel sprouts! Izzy, the bartender is our Hudson Valley favorite! The cocktails are some of the most amazing and creative we’ve ever had…even the mocktails are a delight. Thank you all for creating such a warm and friendly environment, with consistently good food and drinks.
