I have walked by and driven by this place for over 5 years, always thinking it was just a kinda of bar that wouldn’t have anything for me. However my recent Friday explorations had me take a closer look, and you know what they say about judging a cook book by its cover.

For my order I went with the pretzel sticks and the fish & chips with tartar sauce. I enjoyed everything on a whole, but I was pleasantly surprised by the soft pretzel sticks. They were much more than I was anticipating, and really satisfied my itch for a fresh warm pretzel. The fish & chips were no slouch either, the lemon included really enhanced the fried haddock with a nice tang and altogether paired very well the the tartar sauce. Though I will say the “chips” was a tad too soft for my liking, as I prefer my “chips” to be a bit more crunchy.

Now the price was a little on the higher side for what you might think would be bar food, roughly $41 for my entire order, but if you do happen to stop by you might understand the bar is only one part of this restaurant and has a lot more going for it than expected. It’s pretty popular and can get crowded, so you may find parking to be a bit difficult.

Overall I will admit I was dead wrong about what Bentley’s Tavern was, and what I got was pretty good. That said, the prices are a tad bit high so while this is a pretty short distance from my workplace and on my drive home, I think I’ll save this location as a backup in case I have no other options in the future.

Went in around 5:30pm on a Thursday. Was seated right away and they even accommodated my ask of a table large enough to spread some work stuff out… traveling and finishing out my day doing meeting summaries.
My server Melanie was super attentive and top of everything. She checked in several times, never rushing always offering for me to take my time. Ordered the Roma Chicken sandwich with tavern fries and mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious. This will definitely be my go to spot when traveling to the area. Highly recommend!

Bentleys tavern is a great local tavern to stop and by if you are on the road or just looking for a cool spot.
If you are in the mood for wings or burgers both are great. I personally got the wings but after seeing the burgers I was amazed to how big and good they looked and will get one at some point myself.
They have a wing sauce each week and the week I went they had honey Sriracha and it was so good.

As far as the atmosphere they have a lot of TVs so watching football games or whatever your sort is of choice you can watch on one of the TVs.

Foe dessert a got a chocolate molten cookie and it was so rich and tasty.

If it is your birthday you can get tour age in free wings so it’s definitely on my list to stop at next year for my birthday.

Had a “free wings on your birthday” party there last week for an 86 year old. 10 guests great service, food and atmosphere. Plenty of room lots of attention in spite of the restaurant having a full house.

Hey there! We had a great time, as always. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is delicious! 🎉 We came to celebrate Mom’s birthday and took advantage of their famous free wings birthday deal. We had 72 wings! Our favorite is the 24-carat gold. 🍗 The service was excellent, and the staff was super friendly. 😊 We come here a few times a year, and if we lived closer, we’d be here even more often.
