    Irons Edge Mother’s Day 5/14/23

What a disappointment! There were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 children. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we were there promptly at that time. We went up to the buffet and got our meal. Nothing, I mean nothing, was hot or even warm. Even the kids said the sliders, chicken tenders, and fries were cold. We let the establishment know. However, the very nice person said there was nothing she could do. She did offer to heat up some food, but we declined. Again such a disappointment! I typically have the family to my house on Sundays, but they offered to treat for Mothers Day. $210 for a very disappointing dinner.

Ps there was a hair in my grandson’s dinner!

Placed my order over the phone close to 5 hours ahead of time with zero issues, everything went smoothly and was very easy. And after work I dropped by for my pickup, paid for my order, and was back on the road home to dig into my meal.

My order was of the Fried Portobello Mushrooms and Honey Sriracha Chicken Sandwich with Onion Rings, the total coming to $32 before tip. My initial take on everything looked pretty good, through I was surprised how small the Fried Portobello Mushrooms order was. For $13 I was expecting at least a basket, but I got a small box with just a handful of fried slices of mushroom. The onion rings were also super floppy and most were not fried very long, with a couple tasting undercooked.

Now the chicken sandwich was delicious, blackened perfectly, lot of fresh onions and lettuce, but was very messy as the honey sriracha sauce leaked out of the bun which was far too small for the large slab of chicken it held. Yummy, but, awkward. And while small, the mushrooms were perfectly fried and paired perfectly with the ranch dip.

So yes, the meal was not 100% satisfactory, but it passed my test. However, for the same price I have had far larger meals that were just as tasty if not better. So I don’t see myself coming back too often, at least for takeout, as the dine-in looks more appealing.

This establishment IS open to the public. The food is absolutely delicious and are very generous portions 👌 We went here today for my mother’s birthday with no reservations and got right in. The customer service was wonderful. We dined in the open area away from the bar. The staff were very busy with the tables and bar in that main hangout room. Regardless of how busy it was, the ladies made great efforts to ensure we had a pleasant dining experience. I personally enjoyed this establishment and the way they treat their guests. If anyone says otherwise, shame on them. I look forward to coming back, and hey I may even pick up golfing 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳️

Went for a comedy show and dinner. Comedy show was really good. The buffet they served was really gross. Asked for a menu to order something else. Went to order an entree and one to go. The waitress looked at me weird and said she had to clear all the plates really soon before the show, so I couldn’t order that. So basically they were rushing people to finish their food. I thought I could just get it to go if I didn’t finish in time, guess not. Ended up not getting anything. Bad customer service, lost my money.

We went midweek. The place was pretty empty except for the bar. The furniture and outdoor setting was nice. Food was good but slow coming, probably due to skeleton staff on duty. Guy on guitar was a good singer. I will go again.
