I went for dinner today with my girlfriends for the first time and we had such a good time! Everything was delicious and fresh, and the drinks were strong. I’ll definitely be back.
It’s a small place with plenty of personality. The service was fast and very attentive. The food was very tasty. The drinks was just enough. You must try there desert tacos and tres leches 🍰. 😋
The food was tremendous, and the service was top-tier.
Omar took very good care of us, even put together his special drink! He calls it the Omar – a spicy yuzu-mezcal margarita! Heavily recommended.
It’s worth a visit if you’re ever in the area and want great food, service and reasonable pricing.
This is one of my favorite Mexican spots because as you know there aren’t many in Flushing area. Food is delish, mixed drinks are great. Aesthetically pleasing and delicious.
TLDR: Taco Azul is a local neighborhood Mexican spot in Whitestone. Tasty apps and some great salsa. Steak nachos, quesdillas are solid and lots of taco/tostada options.
Taco Azul is one of the better spots in the Whitestone & Bay Terrace area. The portions are generous so make sure not to overorder.
I personally like the steak nachos. They’re crunchy, cheesy, juicy steak, lots of toppings. Ask for the habanero sauce fore extra hear to cut through the richness. The chicken flautas are also great. Crispy fried tortillas packed with chicken and cheese.
There’s a whole lot of mix and matching that can be done with the tacos. Pick flour, corn or blue corn. Tortilla or tostada, etc. The quesadilla is solid and the enchiladas are saucy, filling and packed with protein.
For tacos my favs are the fish taco and chorizo.
