This has been my go-to Dominican food place since 2016. I love their empanadas and their roast pork with the skin is just so good. It’s hard to know how much everything would cost sometimes but the price is definitely cheap for the amount of food you get. I also always get the green sauce(not sure what it’s called but you can eat with the empanadas) It’s like creamy horseradish sauce. If you ever go to Rockaway, this is the place you must try!
Great staff, food and price. Expect a short line because this place is good. There’s a ton of variety here and plenty of options for a vegan like myself. 4 kinds of rice, plenty of salads and many other sides such as meats, beans, and fried plantain. There is definitely something here for you. The perfect place for lunch after the beach
Have been coming here for years, originally tipped off to it by a local Rockaway resident. The food is unbelievably good. Some favorites are the empanadas, the chicken stew, and the pernil – all of which are pictured. We think it’s the best dominican food in the NYC area – closed on Sundays though, which is worth noting.
First time ordering here. Food tastes good but as one reviewer has said nothing that seriously wowed me. Price is affordable and good portions. Will recommend. 👍
Why is when you buy the bake chicken medium plate you only get one piece as for the small I asked the women told me we give more rice. That’s crazy if you are buying a medium plate for 17$ it should not be 1 piece of chicken an a lot of rice a bag of rice in the store is how much an what kind of rice are you using to justify you charging 17 dollars if you look at the photos people took you see the medium plate lots of rice one peice of chicken, then you see the small plate rice an the same peice of chicken. You are ripping people off . Well you won’t be ripping me off any longer. Open your eyes if you get a salad to go with it they charge you extra a medium plate what only rice an chicken no veg or salad for 17 dollars.
