Hands down THE BEST JERK CHICKEN!!!! And soup, fish, festival…the list goes on. The food is REALLY that good, fresh and authentic. You can tell the Chef/owner of the establishment really cares of the quality and taste of the food. The prices are also very reasonable.
I found great jerk chicken in Jamaica. Crispy outer skin, juicy tender inside. The seasoning just hits the right spot, hint of spicy with combination of smoky flavor.
I’m so glad they also have catering. Curry chicken with white rice, Roots irie sliders, Pineapple chicken and white rice, Pumpkin soup, Stew chicken with rice and beans… will definitely recommend for everyone!
The restaurant is fairly new, but the food is very flavorful! Even the steamed cabbage/vegetable has lots of flavor I recommend
This is one of the best jerk chicken that I ever ate. Check them out, hands-down one of the best in queens.
I cannot say enough good things about Root catering. Kristin and her team are absolutely amazing! We booked them for our wedding and they made everything so easy. One of the main reasons we booked them was because they were the only catering company we could find that encorporated composting. This was a must need for our zero waste wedding but little did we know how great everything else would be. When planning, Kristin offered custom dishes which we immediately jumped on. She and her team replicated our favorite dish from the trip on which we got engaged and it came our delicious! This was such a special option that really set them apart from other caterers. Not to mention, our guests are still raving about how good the food was – some even said they were going to try and replicate it themselves because they enjoyed it that much. Also the bar service was impeccable! Ryan was so wonderful to work with. He helped us create the bar menu to fit all our parents request that still worked in our budget. He also created amazing signature cocktails for us that were the hit drinks of the night. We highly recommend them for any catering needs!
