Went around 4pm on a Saturday, and were the only people there. All the other restaurants were busy so that was surprising. Luckily we were the only people there though, because the seating seemed like it would have been too close if there were others in the restaurant. Food was overall good and came out fast. The brick oven pizza was really good but soggy in the center. The waiting staff was slow.
If you are looking for something different give this place a try. I’ve lived here for years and always thought this was another pizzeria. It’s not. They have pizza but more of an authentic homemade style along with many other Italian specialties. Chicken vodka parm hero was amazing. Pasta was the perfect type of al dente. Will be back for sure
Walk past 1653 many times. So glad we finally stop and gave it a try. Best pizza in the area , hands down . I am not easy to please especially when it comes to pizza . It made me feel like I was back in Italy ( go every summer) I even eat my pizza with a fork and knife . Fresh ingredients, cook perfect , crust was spot on and you could taste the brick oven . Yes the place could use a little makeover but food is so worth it. The owner ( Frank , I hope I got that right ) stop by our table , nice person and pleasant . We will make this a regular stop 100%.

Really delicious pizza, tastes like Italy. We had the mushroom pizza, eggplant pizza, sausage pizza, margherita pizza, Cesar salad and a gnocchi pasta special which was wonderful!
